4 days. That's how long till #bip110 hits. If you want to vote and say Bitcoin is for money, not data storage, you need to act now. Install Bitcoin Knots and run your own BIP110 node. bip110.org/howto/

Two things. One: It isn't a 55% activation threshold. It's 0%. BIP110 nodes will begin enforcing this thing at the latest block 661,632. That's early August of this year. We do not need the permission of a small group of pools to activate soft forks in Bitcoin, and if they were to activate one among themselves, we would not be obligated to accept it. Two: Pools ignoring a fork that has the level of adoption BIP110 has is an insane scenario that people have deluded themselves into believing without understanding what it would imply if they were correct. Mining pools unilaterally ignoring a consensus rule as enforced by ~half of the upgrade nodes on the network is a declaration of war made by a handful of Bitcoin companies that have absolutely nothing to gain by doing so. Soft forks in Bitcoin must be materially opposed if they have undesirable effects. Material opposition to BIP110 does not exist. Blocks that do not voluntarily signal for early activation do not imply an incoming coup of any sort. Have confidence that the network dynamic aligns with theory: Bitcoin is a network governed by rules enforced by nodes - it isn't a network whose rules are what a handful of mining companies say they are.

Here’s the moment where the Real man takes a wise decision Fact: 55% of the hashrate is optional. Ultimately Nodes will decide

I knew there were concerns around the influence of a relatively small network of funders, mentors and maintainers within Bitcoin Core, but I didn’t realize just how interconnected it all was. Must read. Thank you @hodlonaut 🙏 citadel21.com/the-network

A reminder: Citrea don't need the blockchain - they need your mempool which is why spam filters had to be ridiculed and ripped out of Core for Citrea to be able to confidently build and launch their product. Kill it today by refusing to host their stuff in your mempool.
Replying to @GrassFedBitcoin
psst - did you Know if you run BIP-110 it stops Citrea being able to use YOUR mempool TODAY - which is all they need btw.

Bitcoin Magazine diskutiert "Q-Day." In Arbeit. Aber das braucht Jahre. Konsens. Aktivierung. Du erinnerst dich an den Blocksize War? So etwas. Alles passt in Bitcoins bestehendes 10.000-Byte-Script-Limit. 201 Opcodes Maximum. Keine einzige Konsens-Regel wird gebrochen. Kein neuer Opcode. Kein Softfork. Keine Miner-Abstimmung. Jetzt. Über Q-Day. Über Zombie-Coins. Die Lösung liegt seit Tagen auf GitHub. Open Source. .

"They won't switch from Core" "They won't propose a soft fork" "No one will run their own nodes" "They won't find a block" "They havn't found that many blocks" See where this is going? Run BIP-110.

Huge thanks to @oomahq, @GrassFedBitcoin, and @venorusprime for getting me off my arse to get this going on. Super easy, took me about 30 mins to an hour. Guide (rentsomehash.com/) was for StartOS, but it was simple to get an LLM (e.g., Claude) to adapt it to Umbrel. All Bitcoiners should: 1. Run and use their own node (Knots + BIP-110) 2. Get some hashpower (e.g., host yourself or rent) and point it to DATUM + OCEAN We all do this, spam will be significantly reduced and mining centralization balance swings back to the individual node runners. Bitcoin wins, NGU massively. If a simpleton like me can do it, YOU can too.

9,709 nodes want a "downgrade" everybody! That's right, they want less cartoon wizards and garbage on their savings. Tragic day! On a serious note, keep up the fight! This is how we treat parasites to the network, we attack! This is Bitcoin!
