But the situation in the West Bank is quite a bit like what apartheid looked like in South Africa.
We can criticize Israel's awful policy choices while still strongly supporting Israel, the nation, and obviously the Jewish people who make up the majority within Israel.

Trump fans say the deep state is making gas prices high: "He's trying his best. He's being opposed every step of the way. What can you do? That's like with gas prices. Yeah, they're high, but, I mean, I think they're being manipulated. I don't think that's necessarily just because of this war. I think they're taking advantage of it. We're all being taken advantage of."

Lookit man, I don't blame anyone who says "the country is too polarized for a >D+9 GB" because they either didn't watch/remember '08's fundamentals/data. I sure wasn't (I was 9).
But the President's approval is Bush-level. Economic sentiment is low. There's a deeply unpopular war in the Middle East. We're seeing a large turnout differential in a lot of states in EV and LV modeling.
In 2018, President Trump was only -7. He had a great economy, and a polarizing Supreme Court nomination to excite the base. He ain't got any of that (-44 with Independents currently).
You better start believing in 2008 stories, because you're in one.

The degree to which the far left and the far right both believe that the name you call the thing changes the substance of the thing is astonishing.

You gave away the game immediately. The term in law is not undocumented immigrant. It is illegal alien. They are not allowed to be here. No qualifiers. No exceptions.
Can somebody give me an update on the current MAGA and far-right mood? @willsommer? What's going on over there?

Mr Tucker Carlson is what the Americans call a ‘shock jock’, who says outrageous things to boost his ratings. When I agreed to the interview, I assumed no one in England would watch it as his appeal is focused on his own country.
However, his suggestion that we ought to have let Hitler win led to a degree of controversy, so I was asked about him quite a bit at the conference. To meet he is both personable and intelligent, so I enjoyed our conversation before and after filming as well as the interview itself.
His views may be rather wild, but I never mind robust debate. I am sure he does it for clicks. It is the temptation of the social media age, as the more controversial the statement, the more views and revenue it generates.
Perhaps he ought to use some of the profits to employ a researcher to tell him the size of the UK and Russian economies.

FIRE won a huge First Amendment victory today.
And before anyone mischaracterizes it: This ruling does NOT say the government must admit anyone, issue anyone a visa, or grant anyone citizenship.
It says that once a person is lawfully here, the government cannot deport them because they engaged in protected speech.
The government cannot tell a legal immigrant: An American is free to say this, but if you say it, you’re out.
That’s the principle we sued to defend. And today we won.

Actually, JD also has a history of being personally courteous to the trans people in his life. But MAGA doesn't actually care since pretending to be mad at Pence over this is pure ingroup/outgroup signaling.
