JUST IN: The U.S. Air Force has tested a SpaceX $SPCX spacecraft carrying military supplies through space, advancing plans to deliver critical equipment anywhere on Earth in as little as one hour. On October 20, a SpaceX Falcon 9 launched the Starfall reentry capsule carrying experimental cargo pods developed by the Air Force Research Laboratory. The pods contained communications equipment, batteries, survival supplies, medical equipment and a water desalination system. Sensors monitored temperature, shock and vibration to assess how military equipment withstands launch and atmospheric reentry. The Pentagon's longer-term Rocket Cargo program aims to transport tens of tons of supplies to remote or contested locations, potentially reaching military forces without access to runways or roads. AFRL confirmed the test flight, but has not published detailed cargo-performance results or demonstrated operational point-to-point delivery. The technology could eventually allow rockets to complement conventional military transport aircraft during emergencies or combat operations.

A video recently shared on social media gives a closer look at the current state of CSL Comalapa ops in El Salvador. Pictured are two of the three AC-130Js and four of the seven MQ-9As currently deployed to the CSL in support of JTF-WHEM.
A recent Sentinel-2 image shows that CSL Comalapa (🇸🇻) now hosts at least (3) AC-130Js. These additional AC-130Js have taken the place of the (2) P-8As that had been supporting JTF-WHEM operations in the Pacific. This change happened towards the end of September. (1/2)

SpaceX has just officially received FCC approval to acquire three additional spectrum licenses from Tristar to expand its upcoming next-gen @Starlink Mobile network. The licenses cover 15 MHz of spectrum in the 1695–1710 MHz band. The FCC also granted waivers allowing SpaceX to use the spectrum for satellite communications instead of building traditional cell towers. This approval comes just two weeks after SpaceX announced an agreement to acquire nationwide 800 MHz low-band spectrum to improve indoor coverage and outlined plans to combine its satellite constellation with terrestrial infrastructure. Starlink Mobile will become the first network operator to deploy both satellite and terrestrial spectrum: "One network that provides Americans with a reliable service indoors, outdoors, in cellular dead zones, and everywhere in between."

Pou chèf gang yo ak manm gang yo k ap kenbe kat konpatriyòt nou yo an otaj ann Ayiti: Mesye nou kidnape yo pa konbatan. Nou deja fini ak gang yo nan El Salvador, e nou kapab fini ak nou tou. Nou toujou gen tan pou evite sa. Remèt nou kat konpatriyòt nou yo vivan, san okenn mal, epi tout bagay ap retounen jan sa te ye anvan kidnaping lan. Desizyon an nan men nou.

Today is the 245th anniversary of the surrender at Yorktown, the last major battle of the American Revolutionary War. On October 19, 1781, the British army surrendered to George Washington at Yorktown, Virginia. French soldiers and warships fought alongside the Americans and trapped the British with no way out. The war dragged on for two more years, but after this day, Britain knew it had lost. America would be free.

As of October 15, 2026, a Russian satellite called Cosmos 2612 is moving into position for close-proximity operations with a U.S.-registered commercial satellite supporting Ukraine. “No one should assume to know what Russia will do next, but the potential for a threat is there,” write @crswope and Chantal Li. EU’s alternative is OneWeb, most launched by Russia on Rockets made in the same plant Russia makes weapons to attack Ukraine, also by U.S. @SpaceX , and some by India. Now they’re talking about messing with the U.S. launch partner that eclipses all others-combined in terms of launches per year and satellites put in orbit.
Despite all the trolls and uninformed people parroting the same tired lines about how “consultations alone will take years” or “EU can’t do anything beyond regulating plastic bottle caps", things are moving surprisingly quickly xitter.cf/business/status/211082…
