Pal-Awda NY/NJ stands in solidarity with Mohamad Hamad, and advances the call to urgently donate to his campaign before September 1st to secure proper legal support ahead of his trial. Our response is a test of our movement, and our commitment to our political prisoners, who are at the front lines of violent repression of the state.

EDITORIAL: The state has formalised its role as a bodyguard for the arms industry. By banning Palestine Action, the courts are attempting to pathologise and criminalise the only moral response to genocide. We must build a mass movement to overturn this ban and defend the right to resist. Read more and support the paper that refuses to look away.

ALL OUT TO PROTEST JERUSALEM REAL ESTATE EXPO OF STOLEN PALESTINIAN LAND + SETTLER FAIR
🗓 Thurs, May 28
⏰️ 6:30 PM
📍 Hilton Midtown, 1335 6th Ave, New York, NY 10019
Protest the illegal sale of #StolenPalestinianLand!
Israeli real estate agencies are hosting "Jerusalem comes to NYC," an illegal real estate & settler recruitment event that is in blatant violation of local, federal, & international laws. At the same location, settler agency @NefeshBNefesh is a sponsor of an aliyah fair, to recruit settlers & expedite dispossession of Palestinians. The zionist "Mayor" of Jerusalem will be in attendance.
We will not be silent as land theft occurs inside our neighborhoods.

ZIM ASIA BLOCKADE:
BREAKING: Earlier this morning, over 30 activists blockaded the entry point to the Maher Terminals of Port Newark-Elizabeth, attempting to prevent a shipment of ammunition & weapons components to be loaded aboard the israel-bound vessel ZIM Asia. Actionists blockaded the road using an RV & a truck with a boat hitched to its carriage, fastening themselves to the vehicles & to one another using "sleeping dragon"-style PVC devices.
The actionists demanded that @PANYNJ evict @ZimShipping & @Maersk from Port Newark-Elizabeth, stating that they "are taking it upon [themselves] to obstruct this illegal cargo" and call upon "all people of conscience & the union workers of the @ILA_official to block the boats & to cease loading arms shipments onto ZIM & Maersk vessels."
A November 2025 report by the @palyouthmvmt & @progintl_en found that “the vast majority of all U.S. military sea cargo sold to the Israeli Ministry of Defense (IMOD) passes through a single warehouse in Jersey City… Owned by @interglobalfwdg (IFS), this facility handles over 1,000 tons of #IOF-bound military cargo every week,” which it transfers to the Port Newark–Elizabeth Marine Terminal complex for transport aboard ZIM & Maersk vessels.
History has proven that efforts like these are winnable through sustained pressure & collective action. ZIM was driven out of Oakland in 2014 by @AROCBayArea-organized protests & @ILWU_10's refusal to cross their picket lines. When they came back seven years later, they were turned away again.
From Oakland to NJ, & across the world, people are building on this history by organizing campaigns & actions to end the complicity of their ports & cities in the Genocide of the Palestinian people and the merciless bombing of Iran & Lebanon.

This is critical work not only because it blocks the arteries of genocide, but also because it reveals the extent to which Zionism is underwritten by imperialism. Zionism would not survive without the North-Atlantic axis. Every NATO state is in some way complicit.

🚨🇵🇸 ALL OUT SAT. 05/16 BAY RIDGE
PROTEST TO DISMANTLE THE GENOCIDAL ZIONIST ENTITY—FIGHT FOR LIBERATION & RETURN
🪧 PROTEST
🗓️ SAT 05/16
📍 72nd St & 5th Ave; BAY RIDGE
🕒 2:00 PM
#Nakba78
In honor of the 78+ year long struggle for liberation of the Palestinian people, Pal-Awda will be in the streets of Bay Ridge protesting in honor of the freedom fighters & martyrs of Gaza & all of Palestine.
“NAKBA” [meaning “catastrophe” in Arabic], which we commemorate on May 15, marks the ongoing genocide & ethnic cleansing of indigenous Palestinians from historic Palestinian lands, which was well underway months before the settler colony declared “independence” on May 14, 1948. That year, zionist occupation forces & settler militias brutally murdered over 15,000 Palestinians & expelled 750,000+ Palestinians from their homes, destroying over 70% of Palestinian towns & villages, & stealing 78% of Palestinian land.
For over 78 years, displaced Palestinians have demanded a “right of return” or “haq al awda,” while the zionist entity continues to escalate its project of ethnic cleansing, land grabs, & colonial expansion. WE DEMAND AN END TO THE OCCUPATION, full liberation, & the right of return for all Palestinians in Gaza, the West Bank, & around the world to their original lands and homes.

SHUT DOWN THE ILLEGAL SALE OF STOLEN PALESTINIAN LAND IN BROOKLYN
SAVE THE DATE: Protest against "Great Israel Real Estate Event"
🗓 Mon, May 11
⏰️ Evening (TBA)
📍 Flatbush, BK (TBA)
All out to protest the illegal sale of #StolenPalestinianLand!
After their Manhattan event, the same israeli real estate agencies are hosting an event in Brooklyn for settlers to buy property in "Anglo neighborhoods" on Stolen Palestinian Land.
They blatantly advertise illegal settlements in the occupied West Bank, such as Gush Etzion, Kfar Eldad and Karnei Shormon, violating international law.
Further, as attendance is restricted to Jewish people with particular political orientations, the event is in direct violation of housing and anti-discrimination laws.
As we face unprecedented policing and efforts to silence us, we won't back down while ethnic cleansing is being actively promoted in our neighborhoods.

"Regardless of all debates in the movement regarding the effectiveness of any given tactic, it is clear to all that direct action against the war machine must be escalated; it must be further clear that the attack upon and imprisonment of flotilla leadership, particularly on the basis of “terrorism” for rejecting U.S. sanctions and Zionist designations, must be met with global solidarity, as part and parcel of the campaign to free all Palestinian prisoners, to break the siege on Gaza, for the return of all Palestinian refugees, and to free Palestine, from the river to the sea."

In an interview with The Public Source in January, Lebanese journalist Amal Khalil spoke of her political origins and her dedication to the guiding principle of resistance:
"My upbringing — everything I saw, read, and lived — shaped how I understand causes and people’s struggles. Since I was 12, I used to read Assafir every day. My father brought it home and it became my window to the world from our quiet village. Through that leftist newspaper, I learned about taxi drivers, farmers, and the impoverished; about people like the liberated and martyred prisoner Samir al-Kantar; about the kidnapped and disappeared...Then in high school, I met communist comrades and felt that the revolutionaries I was reading about in Assafir were suddenly in front of me."
"On a personal level, resistance means everything to me. I love the resistance, whether its ideology is communist or Islamist. Through my work, I have tried to be in solidarity with these people — the people of the land."
"I always say in my articles, interviews, and conversations that resistance is our fate. As long as we live next to the Israeli entity, this struggle will continue. Resistance is an instinctive act among southerners against the aggressor."
"I try to recall the history of this struggle since the 1930s, when Maarouf Saad went to fight the Zionists in Tulkarem. The people of Kfarshouba have 16 martyrs from the Yahya family who fought alongside the resistance in Palestine against Zionist gangs."
"The resistance remains our ceiling, our shelter, our security and reassurance — and our experience proves it."

People who call for an imaginary 'international military coalition' against Israel to be formed & simultaneously ignore (or far worse) Iran and the Axis of Resistance are absurd. Such a coalition already exists but many are too busy accepting imperialist lies about it to realise.
“Israel’s” strategic instinct is to compartmentalise the fields precisely to weaken the Resistance’s idea that all fronts are interconnected. It will also always favour stretching the war in Lebanon so it can 1/ frame the outcome as something concluded on its own terms, & 2/ attempt to extract some limited gains. That said, its room for manoeuvre is ultimately shaped in Washington.

The US didn’t agree to a ceasefire but acquiesced to a new balance of power. By insisting on ending the war rather than settling for a temporary ceasefire, Iran moved beyond merely restoring deterrence, whether as denial or as punishment. It exercised deterrence as compellence, forcing the US to change its behaviour and to negotiate under Iranian terms of reference, with the US in an unfamiliar role as the subject of demands rather than their issuer.
Iran went far beyond what ceasefires and classical deterrence typically achieve, which is simply a return to the status quo ante. Instead, the confrontation produced a new strategic reality whereby Iran was able to redraw the political map of the region in which Iran has emerged not just intact but as the most formidable counter-hegemonic force shaping the new regional order.

Official Launch — VoiceOfRabbis.org
Rooted exclusively in Torah values and informed by centuries of classical Jewish scholarship, our mission is to elevate public discourse, provide thoughtful guidance, and articulate the authentic consciousness of our tradition in the contemporary world through education and clarity.
At the heart of our endeavor lies a fundamental distinction: Judaism is not Zionism. Judaism is an ancient religion defined by Divine law and spiritual purpose. Zionism, by contrast, is a modern political ideology that, while usurping Jewish symbols and identity, advances concepts and objectives that stand in conflict with core Torah teachings. By rigorously elucidating this distinction and demonstrating the absurdity of Zionism from a purely Judaic perspective, we seek to defend the integrity of authentic Judaism, dispel misunderstanding, and contribute to greater clarity and peace in both Jewish and broader discourse.
Our official podcast launches today with an inaugural conversation featuring our honored guest, Rabbi Yaakov Shapiro.
