Bob Ross is actually a perfect example to show why art lovers are unimpressed by AI art. Bob Ross is not famous for his paintings. He is famous for his videos in which he showed *how* he made his paintings. The process matters!

BC United leader Kevin Falcon, who killed the party, admits he sat on its corpse for two years to prevent anyone from taking the BC Liberal brand and splitting the right-wing vote, in service to the Conservative Party.

If only a theorist had already written about how jobs should exist primarily to fulfill tasks, but the current social forces dictate the necessity of employment as a social technology, thereby necessitating some kind of drastic revolt against the current social forces

It is odd that we don't have, afaik, any transgender national or even provincial legislators despite being a relatively progressive country for trans people.

For whatever it's worth - which was apparently not much to BC NDP - I urged NDP govt to increase the maximum earnings exemption - repeatedly - and also the complete removal of spousal deduction. So these policies are things that have been asked for by disabled people on benefits

I don't get why so many on the left and the right point to ideology being at the heart of the BC results, when the evidence points to "BC NDP made a cynical election call and NDP voters stayed home" as the real factor.

This didn't happen though.
NDP voters stayed home.
It's extremely clear by the vote totals.
So the discussion becomes how do you excite that base again?
I think you thought this sounded smart, but you didn't think it through at all.

Lock them up.
Google didnβt just do this. There are Google employees who made the call and carried this out.
PUT THEM IN PRISON.

It's quite interesting how the certs were undiscovered publicly for so long. Either nobody ran a sequential brute force on all trusted CAs until now, or nobody had the balls to make it public.

Also please spare a thought for those of us who are one bad policy decision away from going without food, shelter, clothing and health care. New govts making their mark often do so at the expense of our lives. We are scared tonight.

The real security threat from AI is not that it will become sentient but that we built it in a way that makes it extremely good at finding security vulnerabilities, but completely incapable of generating code devoid of them.

Buried in $SPCX's 10-Q:
$561M of that record Q3 profit isn't rockets. It isn't Starlink.
Boring Company raised a new round in September, so SpaceX marked up its stake in Elon's tunnel company and booked a $561M unrealized gain.
No cash changed hands.
