High Liner Takeover: Nova Scotia will lose ownership of an iconic company. Whether it loses economically depends on what happens to local jobs, processing capacity and purchasing from Canadian suppliers after the sale.

Debt is still debt and the fact PHD in economics Carney is hiding the debt off the books is a real concern because his magic trick just increases the interest Canadian's pay, because it's all unfunded programs and promises. This is the Liberal way.
Carney’s “prudent banker” brand is dead. The PBO just showed the books are being cooked
Debt-service costs are now the fastest-growing federal expense: $25B five years ago → $59B this year (already larger than the Canada Health Transfer) → $83B in five years. Pure interest, paid before anything else
PBO Annette Ryan: the government’s fiscal “anchors” are “more like traffic lights.” Capital spending gets a green light; operating spending is a yellow at best. “Limited fiscal discipline. It’s not stopping spending.”
Real cash borrowing over five years: $733B. New debt from deficits: only $333B. The ~$400B gap is being parked with Crown corporations, loans and special funds—“a step removed from parliamentary oversight.” New risks, she said, and less transparency
The former Bank of Canada/Bank of England governor who once policed balance sheets is now redefining accounting so the headline targets stay pretty while the actual liability grows off-books. Taxpayers get stuck with the interest bill @PBO_DPB

⁉️ Wasn't Carney, the self-proclaimed great negotiator, elected to get a deal? What does that look like? He doesn't know.

CTV discovers privacy rights exist… but apparently only when the Americans are the ones holding the camera
While Michael Geist, OpenMedia, the CCLA, Citizen Lab and dozens of other privacy experts have spent months warning that the Carney government’s Bill C-22 is “the most expansive invasion of Canadian privacy rights in modern history” — mandatory metadata retention (location, contacts, device data) on virtually every Canadian for up to a year, technical mandates that risk encryption, lower thresholds for subscriber data — Canadian media has largely treated it as a niche policy story
Same government that buried political-party privacy exemptions in an “affordability” bill and is pairing a social-media age-verification regime with delayed, watered-down privacy reforms
But six orange Saildrone sailboats operating in U.S. waters on the Great Lakes? That’s the real privacy emergency. Sarnia’s mayor and CTV are on it: boaters might get photographed by the U.S. Coast Guard while fishing
Domestic mass surveillance of Canadians by Ottawa: complicated, boring, maybe even necessary. Foreign sailing robots on the lakes: urgent threat to sovereignty and personal privacy
Canadian MSM priorities @mgeist @OpenMediaOrg @cancivlib @citizenlab
Google on Bill C-22's lawful access provisions:
"This treats all users as potential criminals. Metadata is not merely ‘administrative’ data – in some cases metadata can contain core biographical data that is fundamental to a citizen’s private life."

Green Party leader Emily Lowan doesn't want conservatives to exist.
Last I checked Canadians aren't allowed to say stuff like that. Or is it only when it's against conservatives that it's okay?
CBC quoted Lowan’s speech right up to the line that reveals the ideology—and then stopped
In their election-night write-up, CBC reported: “We may have a small caucus, but tonight we have inherited an enormous responsibility, and that is to hold a majority Conservative government to account.”
What she said next, according to the full transcript (and the video CBC itself posted):“We are the only party who is equipped to stand against the Conservatives and their existence.”
That is not “holding a government to account.” That is declaring the victorious party’s existence illegitimate. It is the language of elimination, not opposition
If a BC Conservative candidate had said the NDP or Greens needed to be opposed “and their existence,” it would have led every newscast, every panel, and every CBC segment for days. Instead, the line was edited out of the written coverage while the surrounding sentences were used to portray her as a responsible voice of accountability
This is not an oversight. CBC has the full speech on their website. They chose which sentences to quote and which to bury. Meanwhile, hosts and panels continue to treat the BC Conservatives as uniquely dangerous while soft-pedaling a 26-year-old party leader who just framed an entire party’s existence as the problem to be solved
Age is not a shield. “Movement building” is not a euphemism that erases the actual words. Selective quotation that stops one sentence before the most revealing line is not journalism—it is CBC narrative management
The video is on CBC’s own site. The transcript is public. The CBC omission is the story @brodiefenlon

The cheap green lie
You are told that solar and wind are cheap
But you need near-100% backup when no sun or wind, paying for two systems
Data for 2025 shows that
cramming in more solar and wind makes electricity overall more and more costly

Is anyone still unsure about whether Muslims support the rape of 9 year old girls?
Islam condones pedophillia.
This is not debatable. Video evidence is all over the internet.
The hijab is a symbol/message that a girl is ready for marriage. Look at the Islamic schools in Canada whose dress code mandates 6-year-olds wear hijabs.
As the Muslim population increases so does their Islamic Sharia, demonic law based on the quran.
Ban ALL manifestations of Islam in Canada NOW!

Lol! Get a load of this. 🤣
A few weeks ago, The Washington Post reported that the lack of hurricanes in the Atlantic this year is because thunderstorm updrafts are becoming weaker as a result of global warming. Ben Noll’s argument was that higher warming rates in the upper troposphere relative to the lower stabilizes the atmosphere (which, if true, is the correct interpretation).
Last week, however, The Post changed their story. According to Dr. Victor Gensini, a professor at Northern Illinois University, global warming is actually making thunderstorms updrafts more powerful because of reduced atmospheric stability, which is leading to larger hail.
The climate panic merchants never get their stories straight. Their religion is built on a house of cards.

Need to give Carney’s top down driven recovery some time, but how much before we see results? Maybe we need less Ottawa control and more empowerment of small and medium business? Time running out. Results.

Mark Gerretsen’s walking in the woods videos are always telling of where Liberals are losing.
Liberal immigration policies are destroying Canada and everyone knows it, especially immigrants. 🤷♀️
Mark Gerretsen really blew it on this one. This is another self own. He is trying to say that the Cons are blaming everything on immigrants, yet he uses a clip that clearly shows Michelle blaming the Liberals immigration policies.
No other Party has done more damage towards the way people feel about immigration than the Liberals. Now they are trying to shift that blame onto the Conservative Party. These Libs are a truly vile bunch.

‼️JUST IN: Canada’s Defense Bank Dreams COLLPASE as UK Delivers Brutal Snub
This coalition of the middle powers didn't even last 3 months.
In a humiliating blow to Ottawa’s global ambitions, the United Kingdom has flatly rejected Canada’s invitation to join the Canadian-led Defence, Security and Resilience Bank.
Despite months of high-level talks between Prime Minister Mark Carney and UK Prime Minister Andy Burnham, Britain walked away, choosing instead to back its own Multilateral Defence Mechanism.
Officials said there were irreconcilable differences over headquarters location, joint procurement rules, and future membership criteria.
This “middle power” alliance has spectacularly failed, leaving Canada’s flagship defence project ISOLATED.
