Connect and Manage was introduced in 2009 and allows windfarms to connect despite there not being grid infrastructure to use their output
We're now spending £millions every day to turn off wind we can't use. Some windfarms eg Seagreen have 75% of their output thrown away
It's a disgusting waste of money and the cost is added to our energy bills

I've been investigating what police forces actually record about nationality, ethnicity and arrests.
And there's something the public deserves to understand.
🏛️ THE HOME OFFICE
On 19 January 2026, the Home Office confirmed to Parliament that nationality and immigration status are NOT collected centrally in its standard arrest statistics.
But that doesn't mean individual police forces don't hold the information.
Here's what their own official FOI responses reveal. 👇
📁 CLEVELAND POLICE
Confirmed its Niche recording system can retrieve:
• Suspect nationality
• Victim nationality
• Country of birth
• Ethnicity
📊 DEVON & CORNWALL POLICE
Published 7,020 charge records for 2025 broken down by nationality.
347 had nationality recorded as unknown.
📂 ESSEX POLICE
Published arrest statistics broken down by self-reported nationality and ethnicity.
🚔 WEST YORKSHIRE POLICE
Confirmed 7,051 arrests involving detainees recorded with non-UK nationality between September 2025 and August 2026.
Now here's another interesting finding.
⚠️ MISSING ETHNICITY DATA
Official Home Office figures for the year ending March 2026 show:
• 739,703 reported arrests across England and Wales, excluding Derbyshire.
• 82,321 arrests had unknown self-defined ethnicity.
• At the Metropolitan Police, self-defined ethnicity was unknown in 33.8% of arrest records.
That's a significant amount of incomplete information.
SO WHAT DOES THIS ACTUALLY TELL US?
That "not collected centrally" and "not recorded by individual forces" are two very different things.

NHS SPENT 11 MILLION POUNDS TRYING TO PROVE ONE CARDIOLOGIST WAS WRONG
Dr Raj Mattu flagged 5 patients crammed into 4 bed cardiac bays at Walsgrave Hospital in 2001. A 35 year old died because staff could not reach him in time.
He told @BBC. The trust suspended him, reportedly hired private investigators, and sent over 200 complaints about him to @gmcuk. All 200 were rejected.
At the 2016 remedy hearing the trust's barrister called him greedy for wanting the compensation he was already owed, then suggested he retrain as a school teacher on 30,000 pounds a year.
He won. Around 1.22 million pounds, up to 2.5 million once tax was added. The legal fight cost the trust over 11 million in public money.
Patients died. He spoke up. The system spent a decade trying to prove him wrong instead of fixing the ward.

Kellie-Jay Keen (@ThePosieParker) has been charged with a criminal offence over posts criticising Islam, Muslim cultural practices and Islamism.
The Free Speech Union is proud to be defending her.
In a free society, no religion or cultural practice should be immune from criticism.
Since Labour came to power, the number of FSU cases involving people penalised for criticising Islam has doubled. It is now the single biggest category in our casework.
And now, with a state-approved definition of Islamophobia — rebranded as “anti-Muslim hostility” — things are only getting worse.
On Tuesday, Prime Minister Andy Burnham and Communities Secretary Angela Rayner met Muslim community leaders in Downing Street. Burnham took a swipe at critics of Islam, saying “some of the language” opposition parties use “is unacceptable”, and told the leaders “we need to find ways with you to demonstrate that more and more”.
We now await Rayner’s appointment of an “Islamophobia tsar” who will help enforce the definition.
All five hand-picked members of the Working Group that drafted it have concerning links to Islamist organisations, as FSU Research and Policy Director @DavidRoseUK exposed in his report. We have little hope that the appointed tsar will be good news for free speech.
Meanwhile, the Government is refusing to say who submitted responses to the Working Group, so we cannot know which groups shaped the definition. Islamists may well have had a hand in its drafting.

3 police cars and a riot van. Police everywhere, including firearms officers by the look of the uniform/cap.

Urban Outfitters was letting people in the store and locking the door. Other shops had closed their doors. People are in door ways watching from a distance.
I try not to go in to the city anyway and would not recommend it at night.
