Love that @WeAreTripsmiths have launched the 'Guy Walters Collection', which makes me sound like a fashion brand. Do join me on either โ€“ or both! โ€“ of these trips: Prague 1939-1989, 19-23 Oct 26 Colditz & Great Escape, 12-17 Apr 27 tripsmiths.com/guy

Somewhat unreassuring tagline for a sick bag, @Condor.

I was once halfway across the Atlantic and got up to stretch my legs. A drunk lady sat in my seat and refused to move when I got back.

I feel sorry for the people who might have lost their jobs, and small local businesses such as cafes, that might be affected if thereโ€™s a decline in visitor numbers as a result of this.

On top of this, I have now just been asked if I'm retired! FFS. Time for Botox.
I am very unhappy because a young man has just offered me his seat on the tram.

Who are the people who get on the wrong seat on planes?

Mixed feelings about Hitler's Eagle's Nest burning down. While it's seemingly not a place of neo-Nazi pilgrimage, its National Trust gift shop vibe feels a bit incongruous. I guess it's hard to get these places right.

Something I've just seen & enjoyed in Wikipedia s.v. #VickyMcClure (the actress). 'In 2015 Nottingham Express Transit named tram 224 after her. On her maiden trip she was asked to leave the tram for fare evasion. Having been offered a free ride, she did not have a ticket'.

Would have been justified in happening in 1945. Not justified now.

My instant feeling is that while burning it was a crime, it should not be rebuilt.....

Rather a shame it's gone, though. Interesting to visit despite the history. The equivalent of a superior tea room on top of Snowdon.

It is always difficult to know what to do with these places, making it generally more open and accessible may well have stopped it becoming too much of a place of pilgrimage

Sundowner in Letna Park at the end of another great day with my @WeAreTripsmiths tour group in Prague. We've been covering the history of Czechoslovakia from 1939 to 1989, and it's proved to be emotional at times. It's a tour I'd very much like to do again, so watch this space.
