🌟 CELEBRATING POSITIVE MALE LEADERSHIP THIS INTERNATIONAL MEN’S DAY 🌟
On Thursday 19 November, Western Australia will host an inspiring International Men’s Day Leaders’ Breakfast, bringing together outstanding leaders, professionals and changemakers to celebrate the positive contributions of men...
Organised by For Purpose Leaders, this special event embraces the theme:
“Lead with Purpose. Inspire with Integrity.”
Too often, public conversations about masculinity try to focus on what's wrong with men, rather than celebrating what's right.
This event offers a welcome alternative: recognising the millions of good men who quietly strengthen our families, workplaces and communities through service, responsibility, courage, compassion and integrity.
An impressive lineup of speakers includes:
⭐ Bruce Langoulant AM
⭐ Dr Ashley McGrath
⭐ Joshua Dekuyer
⭐ Craig Hollywood
⭐ Dr Bruce Robinson
⭐ Greg McIntyre SC
⭐ Professor Gary Martin
⭐ Charlie Gunningham
Positive male role models matter enormously, particularly for boys and young men seeking examples of healthy, purposeful masculinity.
Importantly, both men and women are welcome, reflecting the International Men's Day 2026 theme: “The Future Is Everyone”.
📅 Thursday 19 November 2026
🕡 6:30–10:00am
📍 State Reception Centre, Fraser's Kings Park, Perth
💻 Attend in person or online.

Being a conservative sucks because many of us are trying to do what's best for humanity and we are considered worse than hitler by performative leftists who act morally superior when their convictions come entirely from whatever is trending.

Reminded again of how Jordan Peterson's counsel to young men differs from the alt-right's.
Peterson: Life is hard. Clean your room. Take responsibility. Bear others' burdens.
Alt-right: Everyone is against you. Your problems are caused by women and foreigners.

Tomorrow we're releasing a full UATX course for free: all 19 lectures of Professor Isabella Reinhardt's Rise and Fall of Ancient Rome, filmed in class with our students.
It runs from Rome's mythical founding to the Third Century Crisis. It ends on a question the class spent a whole session arguing about: did Rome ever really fall?

I'm ex-MSFT so all these layoffs and buyouts are hitting real people I care about it. But...
Microsoft is deep in developer products. Languages, IDEs, architectures, platforms, their certificate ecosystem, all this stuff looks like it might be in jeopardy with AI.
I don't know the details, but it does seem like MSFT business is going to be massively altered in the next few years, especially their relationship with developers. This might be their biggest business shift since they abandoned mobile and went all-in on cloud computing 12 years ago.
BREAKING: Microsoft, $MSFT, is offering buyouts to 60,000 workers as part of the company’s efforts to cut costs amid AI adoption, per Bloomberg.
Personnel on select teams in the US, Canada, India, and the UK at a vice president level and below will be eligible.
This reflects ~27% of Microsoft's total workforce.

I can tell this will become an annual lament for me: the “trunk and treat” is a degraded, uncivilized, atomized replacement for actually going around to your neighbors’ houses and interacting with them on Halloween. Horrible development in American life.
