The Japanese curry is a mishmash of Indian food introduced by the English, I believe. In India - spices are ingredients. Asking someone if they made curry for food is like asking if they cooked salt.
I have a serious question for Indians. Let’s say I’m visiting your home, and you serve me curry for dinner. The next day, I come back, and there’s curry again. And the day after that… curry again. As a Japanese person, I might think, “Wow, you must REALLY love curry!” But what if I asked, “Don’t you ever get tired of eating it every day?” Would you think, “Are you kidding? I could eat this for the rest of my life!” Or would you secretly be thinking, “Who said we eat curry every single day?” Because in Japan, many people associate Indian food with curry, but I know Indian cuisine is much more diverse than that. So I genuinely want to know: Do you actually eat curry almost every day, or is that just a stereotype foreigners have? 🇮🇳🍛

Because of this woman, I spent two years in jail simply for posting a meme. And now, she has the audacity to preach about freedom of speech. She clearly needs a lesson in Articles 14, 19, and 21 of the Indian Constitution. When she was Chief Minister, students, social media users, vloggers, and YouTubers were sent to jail for daring to speak out. Now that the people of West Bengal have rejected her, she suddenly wants to lecture everyone about democracy and freedom of speech. The hypocrisy is unbelievable.
The freedom of speech and expression is being taken away from lakhs of citizens across the country. This BJP government does not care about Article 14, Article 19 and Article 21 of our great Constitution. This government wants to deprive all citizens, including elected representatives, of their right to express themselves freely. We extend our support to students, youth, social media users, vloggers, YouTubers, and independent digital platforms. We demand that they must be allowed to express themselves freely. Full strength to them as we, all together, fight this dangerous trend of censorship. Instead of indulging in atrocities against citizens on social media, this government should focus on taking care of the North East along with ensuring the safety and security of all people across the country.

I've been trying to tell conservative Indian Americans for the last decade -- at the end of the day we are all brown in the eyes of the racists.
They thought they were special minorities? lol

Everyone is nitpicking on the new Ramayana series .. My gripe is too large. Can't you find one dark skinned actor to play the role of Rama in a country of 1.5B Indians? Seriously?

A random infant (crying): mwaaaahhhhh mwaaaaah maaaaaaaaaamaaaaaaaaa Person in the QT (after seeing it) : It wants to sieze the means of production. Vive la revolution. Every child is born communist, and it is only later indoctrination that leads them to follow other false ideologies Now, where else have you seen this doctrine?
Being born into affluence, possessing a luxury automobile, or belonging to a political dynasty does not inherently invalidate one’s commitment to communism. #Communism is an ideological conviction, not a certificate of poverty. I often tell my students that, philosophically speaking, a baby’s first cry may be interpreted as the most rudimentary assertion of a fundamental right, the instinctive demand for nourishment, care, and survival. Although an infant is incapable of comprehending political ideology, that primordial cry symbolises an innate human need and the instinct to secure what is essential for existence. Therefore, before branding @neha_aisa Neha Bora a fraud merely because she or her family may possess an expensive car, we must learn to distinguish ideological commitment from personal affluence. Scrutinise her arguments, interrogate her actions, and expose any demonstrable contradictions in her principles. But condemning someone’s political convictions solely on the basis of their family’s wealth is intellectual superficiality, not a substantive critique of ideology.

I agree with this. But many people don't seem to get the point. One thing is tradition. Tradition does not require science. But many morons have tried to explain tradition to me using science, which is complete nonsense.
Stop bringing science where it is irrelevant or worse an hindrance xitter.cf/shiv_cybersurg/status/…

Anantnag massacre. You will forget, because your quom is the shooter. We don't.
Show me a single incident in which Kashmiri beat or killed an Amarnath Yatri. The mindset of such people has ruined Kashmir.

“Comrades!” he cried. “You do not imagine, I hope, that we pigs are doing this in a spirit of selfishness and privilege? Many of us actually dislike milk and apples. I dislike them myself. Our sole object in taking these things is to preserve our health. Milk and apples (this has been proved by Science, comrades) contain substances absolutely necessary to the well-being of a pig. We pigs are brainworkers. The whole management and organisation of this farm depend on us. Day and night we are watching over your welfare. It is for YOUR sake that we drink that milk and eat those apples. Do you know what would happen if we pigs failed in our duty? Jones would come back!”

Yes communism is a commitment to other people’s poverty. This is why people desperately tried to escape communist states.

"Uska baap bhi jail jayega" Street thug language indicates both lack of culture and education. Unfortunately it is this level of illiterate shameful buffoonery in our political class that kept inefficient PSUs producing rubbish or screwdrivering for defence for decades

Look at the wall in the attached photo. Among these Tamil inscriptions is the budget for a hospital that existed in Chola India nearly a 1,000 years ago. We know how many patients it could take. We know the doctor's name. We even know what was set aside for lighting the hospital at night. This is the Venkatesa Perumal temple at Tirumukkudal, near Kanchipuram. In the 11th century, the temple shared its premises with a Vedic college, a hostel and a hospital called Virasolan. K. V. Subrahmanya Ayyar, an Indian epigraphist, discovered and copied the inscription during his 1915-16 field season. The writing covered about 540 square feet. In one section, the lines ran for 55 feet. The hospital had 15 beds. Its physician, Kodandaraman Asvatthama-Bhattan of Alappakkam, prescribed medicines for the in-patients, the college's teachers and students, and people attached to the temple institutions. Someone who performed surgical operations was paid separately. There were 2 people to collect medicinal herbs. They also supplied firewood and helped prepare medicines. 2 nurses looked after the patients and gave them medicines. A barber was paid too. Rice for the 15 in-patients had its own allocation. The pharmacy had an annual stock list. Oils and medicated ghees were measured out. 4 preparations were listed at 2,000 units each. 40 kasu, a unit of money, was provided for the medicines and preparation requirements. The account even mentions ghee to be kept underground for an aged ghee preparation. I find this much more interesting than a general claim that our ancestors practised medicine. Here we can read the arrangements for a particular hospital, with a named physician, staff duties and quantities to be supplied. And somebody had included the night lamp in that budget. Oil was to be bought for it to burn through the night, for a year counted as 360 days. Source: K. V. Subrahmanya Ayyar, "The Tirumukkudal Inscription of Virarajendra", Epigraphia Indica, Vol. XXI, No. 38, pp. 220, 223-225, 249-250. Image Source: R. Muthusamy, Know Your Heritage, Tirumukkudal field-trip photographs, 2014; Epigraphia Indica, Vol. XXI, pp. 249-250 (yellow highlights added). Photo 2: Original report, with the evidence highlighted: hospital staffing and patients; medicine inventory and night lamp; Ayyar's own account of copying the inscription in 1915-16. Photo 3: Hospital staffing and care: the inscription provides for 15 in-patients, a physician, a surgical practitioner, herb collectors and two nurses who administered medicines. Epigraphia Indica, Vol. XXI, p. 249. Photo 4: The hospital's annual pharmacy inventory: measured oils and medicated ghees, four preparations stocked at 2,000 units each, and oil for a lamp to burn through the night. Great story, but a few details need fixing. Zack met Cambry when she was already a wheelchair user; they married in 2019. He first built her an off-road chair by welding two e-bikes together, then founded Not a Wheelchair in 2020. The $999 Paradox, a manual wheelchair, came later. And India has its own version: IIT Madras-incubated NeoMotion builds customised wheelchairs suited to Indian roads. The difference is that our innovators rarely have 10 million subscribers.

No storm has been kicked up over Sharjeel Imam’s pronouncements that are so unapologetically anti-liberal, anti-secular, anti-democracy, anti-Constitution—in a word, anti-national. He openly calls the Constitution fascist, labels secularism a trap, and denounces democracy as a contrivance to deny Muslims their political rights. He dismisses liberalism as a ploy for majoritarianism, and accuses the presiding deity of the liberal pantheon, Jawaharlal Nehru, of falsehood and myth-making for projecting an ancient, unbroken, unified Indian nation in his book, The Discovery of India. He has long disparaged Mahatma Gandhi as the biggest fascist of the 20th century for deploying the term Ram Rajya, and views the “Nation of India” as a fascist project.
