This is why ya’ll be feeling so damn entitled to sex after a date, or don’t like them because y’all go on them for the wrong reasons. Y’all treat whether or not she’s having a good time like it’s a 100% priority and whether you are like it’s an optional side quest. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
She is 1000% correct. The dates are for women. We do it to make yall happy, we would be satisfied with just getting food and chillin lol not going to no fancy ass restaurant

Maturity is realizing that Art with sexual content meant for the viewer’s pleasure can have the same level of artistic merit as art where the sexual content is used for other purposes and it is quite childish to think it can’t be.

This is the stuff I miss more of in modern superhero stories; the civilian aspect. Seeing how these heroes inspire others to change for the better and live their best is the best part about the genre.
this issue was REALLY good

And I think this creates an incentive where ppl gain more social legitimacy from staying in a dysfunctional relationship than from making the mature decision to leave. We end up rewarding the appearance of commitment even when exercising good judgment would mean being single.

I think relationships give ppl social credibility that single ppl have to establish individually. Being chosen is treated as evidence that you're desirable, stable, capable of commitment, etc. So ppl outsource their sense of adulthood to someone else's willingness to be with them
I think the fact that so many of our signs of maturity and adulthood revolving around relationships is why a lot of people get into relationships to begin with even if the relationship isn’t healthy for them be because they want to be seen as grownups.

I’m worried if I say no because I don’t want to leave the toddler, she’ll just say β€œoh well you can just bring him!” or pick a larger, even more expensive AirBNB to allow kids, but even if we could bring him, we don’t want to go lol

All this nonsense because instead of saying something like, "sorry we can't go", you want to throw your kids under the bus for being a terrible friend. It's not a crime to reject an outing. What is crappy is acting like your friend's outings/birthdays doesn't matter!

The truth is a lot of these seniors refuse to downsize or compromise when it comes to their health. They don't want to acknowledge that they are aging. It leads to further hardship for their immediate family members trying to help them.
I've begged my elderly parents to move in with us. No downsize to a safer house. No. Move closer to us. No. Now Dad's in the hospital, Mom needs a ride home and someone to stay overnight, and I have to work tomorrow and get my kids ready for school. This was entirely preventable. I've offered every reasonable solution, and they've refused them all. Older generations, you cannot insist on doing everything your way and then expect your adult children to rearrange their lives to make it work…

My paternal grandmother realized she was not aging well and gave up her car, is willing to move in a group home, and allows my father to help take care of her belongings/assets. My maternal grandmother is sweet but wants to do everything herself, injuring herself in the process.

You've probably seen it already: here's the full art of the cover album I created for the Tomb Raider 30th Anniversary LO-FI collection! I am still so thrilled I got to work on this exciting project, I can't thank Crystal Dynamics & Flying Wild Hog enough for their trust πŸ’š

People want all decisions made by characters to be perfectly logical but conflict can't be created like that. We barely make truly logical decisions in our own lives but want that from fictional characters
This obsession with removing conflict from stories and characters will kill fiction.

What made OT's break system so fun and cool is that it has a bit of depth in how you use it (like for Ophi's ch3 boss where the gimmick is that you have to keep one of the boss in break or else you can't survive) Resonance stagger feels kinda unimportant in comparison

-and a party wide stagger No they straight up just don't give you anything if you stagger an enemy on extra turn (outside of a party wide stagger that lets the remaining characters move), which felt really lame and restrictive

My biggest issue with Stagger in FF:R is how limited it is I remembered in the demo, I thought I might've found out a cool strat in how by leaving the enemies stagger a couple hit away in order (e1 1 hit away, e2 2 hits away, etc), I could chain extra turns and get 3 extra turn-

I love Radiant Historia because you get both a standard game over AND multiple bad endings depending on the timeline. You can argue that it being about time travel shouldn't count, but these are canonical dead ends! youtu.be/5s0IXFToJAM?is=Olpn…

Strange Journey's game over screen scared the ever loving shit out of me as a kid. It's such a simple yet effective way of showcasing what will happen if you fail, and such a striking visual compared to the more calming and symbolic game over screens of the previous SMT titles

I do think this undersells how unappealing the Wii u was as a device. People looked at the Wii u gamepad and thought "that doesn't look like something I'd want to play games with" and for the most part they were right, Nintendo released almost no games that needed the gamepad

I don't see this being inherently negative as long as the game is designed around it well in my opinion. I have more of an issue with Stagger in FF:R than anything. (Thread)
Real sick of turn based rpgs where hitting weaknesses if a core part of the combat loop and not just extra damage atp

Most RPGs just have weaknesses as a bonus, but games that typically focus on it usually have a typing system (e.g. Pokemon/Digimon). It's not like recent games like FF: Resonance, for example, don't have you still be able to use status effects anyways, but I digress.

I think it's important to note that the most popular RPGs are typically simplified enough for most to understand. If you want to argue that standard has been lowered over the years, I don't inherently disagree but not every game is trying to reinvent the wheel either.
