heavily considering building a hdi fab
a PCB fab in America took several weeks to give us a quote, missed key information, had to reprice, was 4x the cost of overseas & 3x the lead time, and they acted like they were doing us a favor. Then the bare boards didn’t arrive on time by almost a month.
There is immense work to do. To “reindustrialize” will take more than just additional factories.
