Ward 3 deserves a councillor focused on the issues facing our city, not one chasing political points with foreign politics, inflaming hate and division while Hamilton’s needs demand attention. That’s a failure of priorities. It is a failure of leadership. Shame on @NrinderWard3.
Ward 3, the choice is clear. Get out and vote for @AndrewCSelman and let’s build a safe, more connected and resilient Hamilton for all.
A wonderful evening celebrating excellence at the CIBPA Hamilton-Halton Awards.
Congratulations to all the recipients, including our very own @vcmancinelli, honoured with the Professional Excellence Award for her tireless commitment to community building. Very proud.

Yesterday, we broke ground on The Benjamin, a new 58-storey rental community in the heart of Toronto’s Entertainment District.
This LiUNA Pension Fund of Central and Eastern Canada project, developed with Fengate Asset Management, the Hi-Rise Group and SG will bring 528 new rental homes to the city, including 10 affordable units. It will also preserve the historic Benjamin Brown building, carrying an important piece of Toronto’s architectural heritage into the future.
This is what long-term investment can do: create good union jobs, add much-needed homes and help build vibrant communities for generations to come. I’m proud to see LiUNA’s legacy of building and investing in the places our members call home continue in downtown Toronto.
Congratulations to our entire team!
On behalf of LiUNA we stand and mourn with the Canadian Armed Forces, their families and everyone affected by the devastating incident at CFB Wainwright. We extend our deepest condolences to all grieving, wish the injured a full recovery & thank first responders providing support

An evening celebrating achievement, family and the opportunities ahead. 🎓🧡
Last night, LiUNA Local 183’s 28th Annual Scholarship Awards honoured 116 students with over $1 million in scholarships as they pursue their post-secondary education.
Through the Local 183 Scholarship Trust Fund, the children and grandchildren of our members and retirees receive support to take the next step toward their futures. Behind every recipient is hard work, ambition and a family whose pride we were honoured to share.
Since 2006, the Fund has awarded more than $11 million to over 1,200 recipients - a lasting investment in our union families and our communities.
Congratulations to this year's recipients on everything you’ve accomplished. We look forward to seeing where your dedication takes you! 👏

“Hamilton is home to generations of LiUNA members and working families who have helped build this city and strengthen its communities. We’re proud to support the Hamilton Hammers as the club’s Official Labour Union Partner and to be part of this exciting new chapter. I know the team will bring people together and give Hamiltonians another reason to be proud of the city we call home.”

Three years ago today, the world witnessed the deadliest attack on the Jewish people since the Holocaust. Families were torn apart, children kidnapped, women assaulted, and the elderly slaughtered: some 809 civilians were killed, while 252 would endure captivity as hostages.
In January, the last body of the hostages killed was finally returned following the return of the last living hostage last year. The return offered some closure to the conflict as the last body was laid to rest, but we know the scourge of antisemitism is not over.
The hatred that fueled October 7th did not remain on foreign shores. Right here in Canada, far too many synagogues, Jewish businesses and institutions have been the targets of harassment and hate.
This is not, and cannot become, normal. Conservatives will always fight against antisemitism and all forms of hatred: protecting our schools, communities and places of worship so that Canadians of all faiths can live in peace and security.
Today, alongside our Jewish friends and neighbours, we remember those who lost their lives that day. May their memory be a blessing.

For @liuna183, "Feel the power" is not only the motto it's the mission statement — as the finest women and men work to build our nuclear fleet.
These workers and apprentices shared their excitement about this long-term energy expansion, as our team visited LiUNA’s Vaughan HQ.
Great to join Premier @fordnation along with @TrevorJonesCKL, @MichaelTibollo, and @laurasthornhill as we build Ontario's energy expansion, new mines, and modern infrastructure.

Canadian sovereignty depends on energy sovereignty.
From the Northern Shield Energy Corridor to Ontario’s massive buildout of nuclear power, the best way Team Canada can create jobs, attract investment and protect workers from coast to coast to coast is by building the energy infrastructure our country needs.

Statement on behalf of @LiUNACanada and International Vice President @joemancinelli
The reported loss of approximately 350 jobs at Stelco is a devastating blow to Hamilton workers, their families and our community.
This is the real cost of tariff chaos and political brinkmanship: uncertainty for local industry and hardworking people left to bear the consequences.
Steelworkers, like all workers, deserve more than talking points. They need urgent action to protect Canadian steel production and the good jobs our communities depend on.
Hamilton’s strength has always been its people. Together, we must stand up for workers, protect our industries and secure a stronger Canada.
Stelco announced its intention on Monday to indefinitely idle its cold-rolled and coated operations at Hamilton Works starting on or around Oct. 9.
