(Ole Miss scores to go up by 7 with 9 seconds remaining) "Left too much time," I mutter to myself

With Indana's loss today, Ole Miss now holds the longest home winning streak in the ENTIRE Power 4 The Rebels have won FIFTEEN straight games in Vaught-Hemingway Stadium, and are 25-1 at home since Pete Golding's arrival in 2023 Oxford, MS is truly THE place to be 🇹🇹

Good thing he didn’t have Pete in his ear in overtime last week.
LSU LBs coach Chris Kiffin on TJ Dottery, the "green" dot at Ole Miss and transferring to LSU: "Pete Golding was in his ear so much there he couldn't really focus and he couldn't play fast. That was our selling point to come here: Get in a simpler scheme, be able to play fast."

Sorry, Lane, I don’t believe an SEC official confided in you that he thought “he’d be killed” had he ruled no TD on last play of 1st half Saturday at Kentucky. I also don’t believe Ole Miss fans tried to run you off the road on Nov. 30. tigerrag.com/lane-kiffin-tur…

NEW: LSU planned to spend $25-30M on its roster but ended up at $40M+ after Lane Kiffin sold his vision, @walexander reports💰 "Why not win in Year 1? You don't build stuff over three, four years anymore," one donor said. Story: on3.com/news/inside-lane-kif…

Since the start of the 2024 season, Kentucky is 4–13 against SEC opponents not coached by Lane Kiffin. But they are 2–1 against Lane Kiffin.

This from @pinepaula is disturbing and timely in light of the Cornell scandal. LSU’s Title IX office suspended a football player for a year for “forcible rape.” It got overturned in part bc it “occurred on only one occasion and the time was brief.” espn.com/college-football/st…

You’re doing great Liz
The SEC, without notice, filed a complaint in federal court in Alabama against LSU then added the AG. The lawsuit was without merit, and the court lacked jurisdiction. The SEC has known this from the outset. I gave the SEC two weeks to dismiss this frivolous suit but it has not - so I took legally appropriate action to protect State interests.

New excuse just dropped: Ole Miss was apparently playing music through the snap “again and again.” Let’s update Lane Kiffin’s running list since Saturday: • The return was more emotional than he expected • He wasn’t as “in competitive mode” as he thought he’d be • It’s hard to win SEC road games at night • LSU had injuries • Sam Leavitt missed practice • Leavitt missed third-down/red-zone prep • Leavitt left clean pockets too early • Leavitt missed open receivers • LSU had a guy open on the final drive • LSU had TWO guys open in the end zone on another play • A missed block cost LSU another TD • LSU settled for 3 from the Ole Miss 3 • LSU gave up a TD right before halftime • The players felt like THEY “lost the game” in multiple situations, not the coaches • Chambliss kept beating the right defensive calls • Chambliss is basically impossible to defend • Ole Miss treated it like “their Super Bowl” • LSU had to play at Ole Miss two years in a row • The SEC’s scheduling format put them in that position • And now Ole Miss was playing music through the snap “again and again” It’s Wednesday. At some point you can say Ole Miss just beat you.
"Music being played all the way through the snap, when the center's hand is on the ball. Again and again." @LSUfootball @Lane_Kiffin on Sam Leavitt's struggles at Ole Miss and how he can improve for Texas A&M. #LSU

In this hypothetical, did Lane coach at Ohio State the season before but then left in the playoffs to coach at Michigan while saying Ohio State didn't have good enough players to win a championship but then he tried to steal those same players only to lose to them in game 3?
On his SEC teleconference, LSU coach Lane Kiffin recasts the Ole Miss loss, saying more is made of it because of the Oxford return drama. He asks, "How would everyone be feeling if in your third game of your first year you went to Ohio State and you came all the way back?"

Say what you want. But Vaught Hemingway is an extremely difficult place to play. Period. Awesome breakdown by Brooks on his experience from the field. Guy has been to a ton of places and watched a ton of big games. Here’s what he had to say about it:
