Flu/COVID illnesses increase healthcare costs & reduce productivity The BC Conservatives should continue to offer free COVID/Flu vaccines for ALL...not just those most at risk They should also keep the getvaccinated.gov.bc.ca/s/ website which makes it easy to book the shots #bcpoli
Last year, Alberta had its deadliest respiratory virus season. We also had the lowest vaccination coverage. And the worst health system pressures outside COVID-19. That is your government's public health record. Barriers to vaccination led to the worst flu season. Better rollout, no barriers. The fact that your statement doesn’t mention vaccines or vaccination as part of your tools is worrisome.

Ukraine isn’t asking the world to fight our war. We’re asking the world to stop rewarding the country that started it.

Because I live in a developed country that believes in science and public health I was able to get my free, seasonal flu shot today. #VaccinesSaveLives – at Vancouver, British Columbia

Cons vote Con. "Swing" voters are often lazily fond of people who don't care about the public good (note how many are remorseful about their Trump vote). Media has a general right-wing bias & that was obvious here in B.C. Pathetically unprofessional "journalism". #bcpoli

Some of these I didn’t know and make me quite angry. BC Premier-elect Doerkson better not try to bring them in or that party will be toast in the next election. Eliminate National Day of Truth and Reconciliation? Proposed Freedom Convoy Recognition Day? Excuse me??

Vaccines for Adults Pay Off in Both Lives & Money "Some of the savings are direct – people didn’t rack up hospital costs or miss work if they were vaccinated and evaded serious illness. Some savings were indirect..." #GetVaccinated #bchealth #bcpoli onehealthtrust.org/news-medi…

As for all the nutters just elected The BC Conservatives have a big enough majority that they can afford to piss them off & lose some of them Let's hope one of them is Anna Kindy & that the new govt will have the wisdom to offer free vaccines to *everyone* next year #bchealth

Thank you @Dave_Eby for everything you contributed to this province.
Thank you @DavidEby and his family for the sacrifices of public life. The demands of leadership extend far beyond the job itself, and your family has shared in that commitment. Congrats to @LDoerkson on this next chapter of serving the people of BC.

He has no clue what he’s talking about. Both LNG expansions and the Pacific Link are at risk if he tries to repeal this. And people thought Eby was bad on DRIPA. You ain’t seen nothing yet.
Premier-elect Lorne Doerkson explains how he would work with First Nations in a post-DRIPA world: "If DRIPA had the opportunity to solve the problems in this province, we wouldn't be in court. Legislation that forces two parties together does not seem very beneficial."

Anyone who didn't get their ass off the sofa to vote don't get to complain when this guy starts privatizing things and it gets expensive. Only 47% voted.

These are the people celebrating today, not a good look BC.
These masked guys showing up to stand outside the BC Parliament Buildings, the morning after a conservative win, isn't a great sign.

I think this is backward, Greg. The BC NDP govt supported the pipeline (since a big quid pro quo deal with Ottawa in July). First Nations are the most consequential opponent. The new Conservative govt’s attacks on DRIPA & other Indigenous issues make a deal with them less likely.
This the right take. BC's social democratic (NDP) government wasn't the only obstacle to exporting more Canadian energy via the west coast, but it was a consequential one. A Conservative government makes everything easier.

If conservative politicos understood what it would cost them in the long run to oppose DRIPA, they would be on board yesterday. Sadly, those kind of smarts are not a part of their wheelhouse.
I asked Premier Kinew if he has concerns about Premier-designate Doerksen's promise to repeal DRIPA in BC: "The election results in BC should concern every elected politician and every consultant out there... what we're doing is not a game." #cdnpoli

Once again voting apathy comes into play, as with other provinces.
