I've been playing, coaching, or writing about lacrosse for just about my entire life. But the launch of @PremierLacrosse eight years ago is the moment that pushed me towards trying to seriously cover the sport I love, maybe even professionally. Since then, lacrosse has taken me to places, conversations and moments with truly incredible people that I never could have expected and I'm grateful to have experienced every one of them. Happy PLL Day to lacrosse fans everywhere.

Every possession in my database comes tagged with the home-team's win probability at the start of that possession. If the team gets the ball down 4 with 10 seconds left, that value is going to be pretty much 0%. 1/

Seen a ton of how GPT-6 Astra has enhanced computer vision tracking for various outlets, including sports. I put it to the test for tracking @PremierLacrosse from a 2025 broadcast clip. The initial results are promising but still a ways to go. Read here: sites.google.com/view/duffys…

2027 spreadsheet updated with a lot of fall scrimmages. Calendars for Hobart, St Joseph's, Boston U, and more. Plus Adelphi scrimmages against Navy and Team Israel. Also added the full spring Hopkins slate and the Charlotte Lacrosse Invitational. docs.google.com/spreadsheets…

More big news to share: @TheKyleDevitte will be contributing to @Prep_Lacrosse on a regular basis as our head New England scout. Beyond fired up about this addition — first post incoming. This comes on the heels of elevating @CoachCampanile to a full-time role last month. 📈

Added fall ball dates for Lehigh, Bellarmine, UMass, and a few others. Some of these scrimmages should still be considered tentative, but college lacrosse will be here before you know it. docs.google.com/spreadsheets…

Kyle has been doing outstanding work in lacrosse for a number of years that would make him feel old if I wrote it down. He's one of the best in the sport. Hire him

You don't actually need any expensive software to start building a data-driven culture in your program. All it takes is a clipboard, a pen, and an injured player taking notes during practice. Zack Capozzi of LacrosseReference recommends starting simple: identify the exact questions you need answered to fix broken breakdown points. You can go a long way with just a clipboard before you ever need fancy data software. To learn how to best use data both in season and in recruiting, visit imlcacoaches.com/media-entry… for the full session.

Not saying that he won't be valuable for the Scarlet Knights, but this is the 17th-highest rated transfer candidate in the portal (20th if you include the DIII guys). 1/
Faulkner is a huge get for the Scarlet Knights. He produced 46 goals, 18 assists, scooped 28GB in 40 games with the Utes. He caused four of his five career CTs last season, too. Faulkner chose Rutgers over a couple other Big Ten schools and an ACC.

Ninth Draft Bracketology. Main thoughts: 1) seeding among top 6 could shake up a lot the next two days; 2) this is a deeply unpleasant bubble call - no matter who gets it. It looks to me like it's between Maryland & Yale for last spot. UMD should be rooting for Princeton; (cont.)
