This tells how tribalistic in nature most parts of the country are. Development is self propelled or driven mainly by community efforts and very little by government efforts. This is most likely also the reason for the stark difference between Hunza and Shigar.
What we have already decided We speak of the future as if it were open. This map suggests otherwise. The children on it were under five when they were measured. In the 2040s they will run our farms, offices and factories; in the 2060s they will be the parents and taxpayers on whom an ageing country leans. Two in five of them are stunted. Whatever we choose to do now, for them this part of the future has already been decided, before they could choose anything. A child’s height at two is a kind of ledger. It records, with no possibility of appeal, whether her mother ate, whether the water was clean, whether someone helped when she had diarrhoea, whether anyone thought she mattered enough to reach. The ledger in Gujrat reads one way. In Thatta it reads another. In Haripur and Kohistan, a hundred and fifty kilometres apart, the same province records two different countries. We like to believe this is history, or geography, or poverty, things that happen to us. But the greenest districts were never the richest land. They were the places where girls went to school, where men found work beyond the village, where the state and the market arrived. The map is not a record of what nature gave us. It is a record of whom we chose to reach. We are a society that discounts the future heavily. We defer, we borrow, we promise. But children cannot be deferred. The first thousand days do not wait for a better budget year. Somewhere in Jamshoro a girl stunted in 2018 will be a mother by 2045. What we failed to give her, she will not be able to give her child. The question this map asks is not about them. It is about us.

A clarification regarding some of my earlier posts. I was just being an idiot, none of that had anything to do with reality. I've deleted them. Honestly, I don't know what I was on. I'm a decent guy, please don't take those posts seriously.

Amongst all Maratha clans, Ghorpades have the longest history of bootlicking Muslim Sultans. Despite shifting their allegiance from one Muslim master to the other, they remained ultra loyal to each one of them and fought their own Maratha blood-brothers against national interest.

Aurangabad an Indian Muslim city founded by Aurangzeb In his time the mark of a true horseman was not just speed but the ability to ride with firm control and elegant grace That same spirit still lives here Hundreds of years later the culture of Indian Muslims remains unbroken

Abey लंडबुद्धि, theek se padhna seekh le. Kavi Deepvijay was sent to Satara on request of Chhatrapati Pratap Singh Bhonsle (not the other way around), as he was trying to collect proofs of Sisodiya ancestry of Bhonsles when Brahmins challenged their Kshatriya status. Tujhe kal koi random poet aakar bolega ki tu Genghis Khan ki najayaz aulad hai, to tu maan jayega?

Rajputs, Brahmins and other upper castes of Awadh would neither consume nor cultivate potatoes during the Mughal and Nawabi periods, condemning them an inferior food [as they grew underground as tubers]. This changed in the British Raj..
#Jainism #JainFood #JainDiet #JainAahar #JainLifestyle

The Marathas were eager to secure his support or at least his neutrality, to such an extent that they even offered a joint administration of the empire should they emerge victorious over the Afghans.

Nawab Bahar Ali Khan Bahadur of Faizabad was an Ilahabadi Pandit by birth. As a child, he was sold by his parents [during famine] to the childless sister of Baksh Alam, a Nishapuri Sayyid. Sayyidah raised him as her own son. Her love for Bahar Ali was so great that when he was abducted by child-snatchers, she was overcome with grief. Unable to bear the anguish of losing the child she had cherished as her own, she wept incessantly, fell into deep despair, and ultimately succumbed [died] to the emotional trauma. Nawab Bahar Ali was ultimately sold to Nawab Shuja-ud Daulah Bahadur, who entrusted his education to Khushnazar Ali Khan. Nawab Bahar Ali Khan not only managed the reserve treasury (khizana-i khass), the mint (dar-ul-zarb), various travelling conveyances, elephants, carriages, the pharmacy, the kitchen and 'other particulars of the Bahu begam's household' (digar juz'at-i khanagi-yi begam sahiba), but also, 'on the nawab's behalf (az janab-i nawab), he commanded several district garrisons (faujdari) scattered across the province. Nawab Bahar Ali was worth an unimaginably lavish 1 crore of rupees. — [ Captain Leonard Jacques ].

Grandson of Khalifah Bahadur Shah 'Zafar' and the son of Mirza Jawan Bakht.. he received 5400 rupees per annum as pension (could buy 3.7 kg of the 24-c gold). Pic 1 (box) - Mirza Jawan at the age of 17yr Pic 2 & 3: Mirza Jamshed (Jawan's son) These hostage-pics don't do justice
What exactly are you trying to prove by misattributing Mirza Abbas's photograph to Aurangzeb, when your own Chhatrapatis and Maharajas looked like this?

Jews see themselves as an ethno-religious group rather than purely religious group. >90% Sikhs are Punjabis, so basically Sikhism is ethnoreligion in practice.
