There are important conversations we need to be having but we’re not solution oriented. That’s the predicament we face. An over investment in being mad (which isn’t the same thing as accountability) than we are in getting things right, being more efficient and impactful.

If your partner is neurodivergent and she spends her whole day off on the couch, then cries at 9pm about wasting it, learn the words ADHD paralysis.
She had 12 things she wanted to do. Her brain couldn't pick the first one, so it picked none. You think she's lazy.
Don't ask "What do you want to get done today?" At 10am, hold out her shoes. "We're walking to get coffee." Once she's moving, she'll pick the next thing herself. All she ever needed was someone to take the first step with her.

Wonderful news: Murera has given birth to a baby girl this morning! Her daughter entered the world bathed in the light of a near-full moon, perfect in every way. We’ve named her Mwezi, which means moon in Swahili.
Murera chose to give birth in her stockade, the place that has been her nighttime sanctuary all these years. Her delivery couldn’t have been more seamless – in fact, by the time the Keepers heard the rumbles and rushed to her side, it was all over! Mother and baby are doing very well, while Mwana is already proving to be an excellent and attentive big sister.
More to come, but we're filled with joy and wanted to share Mwezi’s first moments with you. (Word is already out amongst the elephants – this morning, every wild-living Umani orphan showed up to meet the newest member of their family!)
Congratulations to our extraordinary Murera: sheldrickwildlifetrust.org/o…

“Sometimes the bravest thing you can do for someone is stay quiet long enough for them to keep trusting you with the small things.”
You won’t believe how my wife comes home from shopping.
Every single time she walks in and starts going through the bags one item at a time. “This was on sale.” “I needed this.” “I almost didn’t get this one.” She does it every day. I used to want to laugh, but I stopped myself. I had this feeling that if I ever laughed, even once, she might never do it again. So I just sit there and listen with a straight face.
