Instead of spending millions on posh campuses, we should set up hundreds of community microschools and microcolleges, where students learn from each other in safe spaces!
Let's make personalised education available, accessible and affordable!

Stunning new AI model from Microsoft research. Will share my quick thoughts below as I read the paper.
1. Love the fact that they used AI generated faces to create AI generated videos.
2. Talking face models have so far concentrated on lip synch. After all, thats the most important body part when you are speaking. But it gives robotic output.
3. They are mapping facial dynamics like " including lip
motion, (non-lip) expression, eye gaze and blinking, among others " and mapping to single latent variable. This is the hard part. Once you map to a single variable, you can model its distribution.
4. So how is the latent space of holistic face movement built:
VoxCeleb2 dataset with talking heads.
Build a transformer encoder-decoder model with inputs:
facial image->canonical 3D appearance volume
Vapp
an identity code zid
a 3D head pose zpose
a facial dynamics code zdyn.
Vapp, zid, zpose and zdyn are extracted by different encoder. So we take the image and get these.
Then a single decoder D takes these latent variables as input and reconstructs the face image.
They have come up with different loss functions to guide the network to learn the correct pose based on the speech.
Once the latent space is learnt, we can extract the facial dynamics and head movements from real-life talking face videos and train a diffusion based generative model.

Now they are talking of 400+.Wait till end-May and it would come down to 250. By the first week of June, it should be in the range of 175-200.
I'm talking about the cost of half dozen #Alphonso mangoes. Every message does not have to be about politics.

The purpose of an IIT education and in fact any education is not to find a job. Job is a side effect because society has need for your knowledge. Make yourself useful to society.
In fact students may be sad now, but they will realise later that this might have been good for them

A new low in advertisements @fiitjee . You are posting the picture of a child saying that she performed badly because she left your institute! I have blurred the picture because I don't believe in this disgusting way of claiming your superiority by belittling a girl child.

The Final Frontier Defended at the Eden Gardens @VVSLaxman281 @RDravid19
Pitted against a team with 16 Test victories on a trot - Indians looked curtains for all money at the end of Day 2 in the Kolkata Test.
At 128/8 in the first innings against Aussie’s 445 - it looked as if the third day of the 2nd test, would be the day when the final frontier would be taken by Steve Waugh and co. VVS added a few runs with the tail and India started their follow on the 3rd day with 274 behind.
Enough lores have been told and written about the epic Eden Gardens Test. Observers of the game have spoken enough about this in details - I am not going to talk to you about the intricacies of the play here, I am going to tell you why ‘what unfolded’ on Day 3 and Day 4 of the Kolkata test meant a lot to Indians and the cricketing world. 1/n
