"Why does my boyfriend take such ugly pictures of me???" it's because he think you're beautiful just sitting there in pajamas rubbing something out of your eye, he doesn't know how to stage the photo to present you as hot to the world because it's all hot to him

I think Digger is the first movie I’ve seen that would be worse if it was better
I only regretted hiring Shap when he spoke in the third person. Other than that, he's one of the smartest and hardest working journalists out there
Quick professional note:
This is my last week with @chron. I owe a major thank you to the entire Chron crew past + present, as well as Houston’s athletes, coaches, PR staffs, fellow journalists, and, most importantly, readers + followers.
It was a delight covering Houston’s sports scene. Can’t wait to share what’s next, I’ll be back (very) soon 👀

Mike Tomlin focusing mostly on high-rise apartments he understands the importance of urban density and an active downtown core!
Literally no film is better watched at home
The theater experience won't change your mind on Digger, and the laughs that are there still will be when it hits HBO Max.

Good news you probably haven't heard:
The Great Barrier Reef's five best years of coral cover in the 40-year record are the five most recent.
After decades of predictions of its imminent demise, the reef stubbornly refuses to die.

A story that should make your blood boil. LA has lost 57,000 jobs in film and TV during the four years Karen Bass has been mayor. But it still took Mayor Bass almost THREE YEARS to appoint a film czar. Now shows set in Los Angeles are being shot in ... New Jersey.
In the debate last night, the mayor talked about how much she wants to do as mayor, after four years of being the mayor. Homelessness is up, the population of the city shrinking, we're not paving roads because the city can't build a ramp for less than 50 grand, and we're WAY behind on the city's own plan to build new housing even as the mayor caves to NIMBYs to try to fight development all over LA.
So Bass spends the night pandering to a small group of mostly white and wealthy homeowners in Sherman Oaks. But those homeowners are ALSO angry about rising homelessness and declining services which are in fact downstream of their policy preferences! It's a farce.
The fundamental question for LA is: who will govern with the urgency and aggressiveness that reflects the actual scale of the emergency in this city? Bass hasn't. Nithya would.

“They should have special screenings that prohibit phone use in cinemas!”
We do. It’s called every single one of them, until you weirdos forgot or decided you were above that basic and very functional agreement

Going to the movies alone is the most alpha behavior one can exhibit. The mark of a true individual. One who wants no distractions between themself and the art. We all nod to each other in the halls in tacit recognition of our superiority

Demolishing an I.M. Pei masterpiece to build a 50-acre Fogo de Chao is extremely Dallas behavior
The Dallas Mavericks are expected to submit a proposal soon that entails demolishing Dallas City Hall, designed by I. M. Pei, and in its place building a new 50-acre entertainment district, anchored by a new NBA arena.

So many of you post the photo from the article but not the link to the article itself. That contributes to the literacy crisis, the media literacy crisis and the devaluing of journalism and journalists. – at Brooklyn, NY
