Basically Australia has chosen a bad government over a bad opposition.

Please do share about the election process: how did Chinese citizens choose Xi Jinping as their leader? Or how do they participate in selecting their provincial governments? I am also curious about how people can form or join opposition parties. And while at it, why is it so important to camouflage the one-party dictatorship as any form of democracy? I thought you were proud of your ‘superior’ system compared to ‘failing’ democracies.
Wait, I thought China didn’t have elections? How strange that not a single Western media outlet seems to have noticed this. Almost as if it doesn’t fit the narrative.

"1914 set the British Empire on the path to its destruction." That course was already set by 1871.
Naive counterfactuals never consider higher-order effects. It is true that the Anglo-German naval crisis had been defused by 1914 and relations were largely cordial; but that owed much to Germany's existing constraints - a German-dominated Europe would be a very difficult rival.

Do I need to go on Wikipedia and become an expert on NZ politics just so I can know if the kiwis are going to buy bloody frigates?
With 100% of the non-special vote counted Labour is ahead of National by about 4k party votes but six behind on seats. If we were in a purely PR system (no threshold) the coalition parties would be ahead of the others by 17k votes or about 0.7 points.

Ngl this is a good point
This is entitely correct. Iran has been 5 months away from nukes for 20 years BECAUSE WE KEEP SABOTAGING AND DESTROYING THEIR NUCLEAR PROGRAM. Nuclear programs are profoundly complex, expensive, and large...and thus easy to wreck...but it takes constant effort.

This is an "enthusiastic endorsement?"
Never forget @AlboMP quickly and enthusiastically endorsed Trump and Netanyahu's bombing of Iran and has refused to ever admit it was illegal

"In a shock outcome, results showed a drubbing for the incumbent Chinese Communist Party from voters frustrated with a sluggish domestic economy, and dismayed by turmoil within the party that has seen thousands of officials accused of corruption."

I have read three books that feature UK intelligence shenanigans and I wouldn't be surprised if Kneecap was in fact, a British plant.
Kneecap has done more damage to the Irish Republican movement than any mi5 psyop

Apparently a leadership crisis was part of the reason that Malayas communist party launched a "People's war" in 1948. Specifically the previous leader disappeared with a lot of the parties money. Apparently he was a British agent who was pulled out as they feared discovery...
