Later on, the homicidal tulpa disguised as our hero attacks a miserable and sarcastic yet mystically attuned FBI agent. Milligan has for sure referenced Lynch in other stuff, so it's def not by accident but it certainly feels like there was something in the air in 91.

the goal should be to make an unfilmable comic…something that employs visuals and panel lay outs so wild that movies and tv can’t hope to reproduce it. not without a billion dollar budget, and even then, you’ll never recreate the gestalt of a comic page in a single frame.

runner up, me and two friends thought we had the theater to ourselves for Freddy v. Jason until these guys that sounded like Beavis&Butthead showed up, sat in front row, yelled at the screen, then started smoking, we were out weirded

not a "favorite" but went to see Hannibal opening night on a date and a woman had a seizure in the middle of the jam packed stadium seating. surreal seeing an ocean of faces move in unison to the woman. It was quiet for a sec then some guy yelled YO REWIND THE MOVIE
