🚨Alton Towers has officially announced the permanent closure of The World of David Walliams, which first opened in 2021.
The themed area featured several family attractions, including Gangsta Granny: The Ride, Raj’s Bouncy Bottom Burp, Royal Carousel and Flavio’s Fabulous Fandango.
The park says the decision follows a review of its attractions, taking into account operational and guest experience considerations.
Plans for the future of the area have not yet been announced, but Alton Towers says more details will be shared once confirmed.
It’s the end of an era for this part of the resort!

Hearing that "World of David Walliams" existed is like hearing about how hyenas give birth or about the man who died in the Nutty Putty Cave. Your whole impression of the world is darker for the information.

google says if you dont want AI in the classroom you wont get search either
earnest Q: highlighted quote seems carefully crafted to suggest there is a technical reason google could not turn off AI in search.
is there *any* truth to that?

The World Of David Walliams has now been completely removed from the map, a few hours ago they removed the rides but the area was still there. Now it's completely gone.

I respectfully disagree. While it is true that sea shells are readily available at the sea shore, they aren’t curated or organized in any way. And the general clientele at a sea shore is much more likely to be interested in sea shells than in other non-sea shore locations.

My 18-year old was at a friend’s last night. One of the attendees (same age) was found in the bathroom on the floor, having a seizure.
My daughter yelled for someone to call 911, and they did. This is a small SW Ontario city.
More than HALF AN HOUR later, the 911 people called back and said there were no ambulance teams to send and asked if he was “still okay.”
“NO, HE IS STILL HAVING SEIZURES.”
The ambulance never came. The kids ended up calling the boy’s mom back and told her the ambulance wouldn’t come, so she came to the house and for him and drove him herself (from out of town).
What the fuck is happening.
