I fucking, fucking, FUCKING HATE writing about "antisemitism". I am so motherfucking SICK of it. I hate the word. I hate the rapey, gaslighting way all western institutions are constantly forcing this fake narrative down our throats that opposing genocide and apartheid and crazy wars means you secretly hate some random tiny religious group. Hate it, hate it, HATE it.
But I have to keep writing about it, because if you let them control the narrative it just takes over and becomes the consensus reality. So essay after essay after motherfucking essay I find myself writing "Uh no actually it's not a hate crime to say you shouldn't drop military explosives on buildings full of children" like a fucking moron, over and over and over again.
These freaks make me fucking sick. I hate the way they're constantly trying to stick their gross, rapey fingers into our minds and convince us we think things we don't think and feel things we don't feel. They never stop. They're like a cloud of gnats on a humid summer day constantly trying to fly into your nose, mouth and eyes. You swat them away and they're back an instant later, swarming, suffocating.

It was not political exposure you piece of shit. He is the leader of the government. He is doing his job. Many people were comforted by his words.
If I see that Hughes is on a show I just don’t watch. Which is a pity for the rest of the cast who are usually pretty ok. But there it is.
While I was in Melbourne last week, I made a point of asking people about Dave 'Hughesy' Hughes newfound political identity. The results weren't kind. I spoke to a few people who were working the comedy circuit when he started out. They weren't complimentary. They mentioned that all he had going for him back in the day was an irritating voice and an ability to pick the right people to network with. When I said that the late Gilbert Gottfried's voice was also irritating, the replies were, "Yes, but Gilbert was genuinely funny, Dave isn't, and never was," (for the record, I loved Gilbert's voice and his comedy). The assessment there was Dave picked the right coattails to ride with and didn't deal with negative feedback and/or criticism very well. Harsh, but...there's a pattern.
I also spoke to people I met over the course of the weekend, over dinner with chums, in book stores I went to, and at the festival I attended. Words like 'fuckwit', 'idiot', 'clueless', 'talentless (in reference to his comedy)', 'disgusting (mainly in reference his pint glass antics)', 'dickhead', 'brainless' and 'clown' were thrown around freely, along with phrases like 'total fucking idiot', 'no joke wonder', 'liberal party stooge,' 'jess wilsons bitch', 'where the fuck does he get his facts up from,' 'nobody with a brain listens to that c*nt,' 'no better than Bec Judd really,' and more.
It was vicious.
While most people did agree that Labor aren't doing the greatest job in Victoria, they all felt that Dave Hughes is doing worse and potentially damaging the Liberal Party with his unhinged statements. Certainly nobody was applauding him, as he says they do when his name is mentioned.
Quite sad really.

In a disturbing development, on Oct 14th, the former head of Israel's Shin Bet, Ronan Bar, filed a law suit against Netanyahu, alleging the latter had received no less than twenty warnings of the precise character and of the approximate date of the Hamas attack. Formerly, nine warnings were cited in YNet, Ha'aretz and Maariv. It has now become increasingly unreasonable not to suppose that Netanyahu was a complicit actor in the Hamas attack, an organisation he had funded, directly and indirectly, for almost twenty years, and about which he possessed precise internal intelligence. Thus Netanyahu could not only have prevented the attack, but now appears to have been proactively enabling the attack, to manufacture a pretext to ethnically cleanse Gaza, while simultaneously using the attack to disrupt charges supported by three hundred witnesses that Netanyahu had presided over a twenty year reign of corruption, gangster-like coercion, malfeasance and repeated breaches of international law.

Katie Zacharia's performance yesterday was so painfully poor, I can't even watch clips from it without becoming embarrassed for her. I've seen comedians fall flat live. I've watched sports teams fail badly. We all have. But what embarrasses about Katie is that she never had a chance.
She can barely read. Her inability to read force her to stand there with her head down, slowly processing words - fawning words which sound more obnoxious when spoken this deliberate way - raising her head only to smile.
Man, was that awkward. And then she claimed to be an attorney and when asked where she passed the bar - not a difficult question for anyone who did - she said something about China, and anyone who heard this, rolled their eyes or did a double take.
Of course - it's not really about her, is it? It's about an American president and his team choosing her. It's about where they are in their disrespect for the media AND the public that they would even put this forth.
Trump is flailing. Some would suggest he could never tie his own shoes, but few beyond the shamelessly partisan could dispute that he cannot tie them now.
Trump is also panicking. His polls are cratering. he keeps losing voters and gaining no new ones. His rallies are off. That there are way fewer bots echoing his false narratives, doesn't help.
It's not about losing. It's about losing in a manner that humiliates him. It's about an inability to pivot, an inability to engineer a single win. It's about prices, inflation, Iran, Russia and Ukraine, The Houthis, really bad GOP candidates, empty seats in high school gyms, Guilfoyle's grift, fake conspiracies against Dems that get exposed - an inability to engineer a single win.
It's about him looking bad. And losing the ability to claim and feign grandiosity forever. And losing acuity. And declining - in every way imaginable.
Malignant narcissists cannot endure that easily. Their disorders are incurable. They always get worse. They never want to go down alone.
