1. On 4 November 2026, in 10 days, JHB goes to the polls to elect its mayor. I have previously argued that Helen Zille is the only sensible candidate to vote for in this race. This would be a vote for the DA. The importance of this vote was underscored on a recent visit to JHB.

The latest polling is out, with the DA ahead in Joburg and other metros across South Africa.
Now it’s up to us. In November, unite behind the DA and vote for change.
Vote DA. Let’s get South Africa working! 🇿🇦

It’s always refreshing to hear positive takes on DA. So many black people refuse to acknowledge that they’re doing some good.
"White black males", cannot invest on waste..... They own the "economy" because they know best.

No. He balanced full-time media work with his LLB studies (2019-2023). He left the SAfm breakfast show to serve articles as a candidate attorney at Mametja and Associates from September 2025, leading to his admission this month. Articles are the full-time practical training itself.

🚨 JOBURG DESERVES ANSWERS, NOT EXCUSES!
Tomorrow, all roads lead to @SABCNews at 2PM, for the Joburg Mayoral Debate, where I will unpack ActionSA’s plan to Complete the Unfinished Business in our city.
Baagi, I’m not going there to trade soundbites or recycle the excuses you’ve heard for years. I’m going there to put real plans on the table, outline our vision for Johannesburg, and explain how we intend to restore service delivery, rebuild our city, and unlock the potential of our economic hub.
I’ve done it before, and I’m ready to do it again! Johannesburg deserves leadership that delivers, not another round of empty promises.

It is costly, City of Cape Town probably pays way less.

In 8 days I turn 60. Aging is an incredible privilege, not everybody gets to get older.
I’m grateful I get to experience it feeling healthy and strong. #MyYearOf60 #Turning60 #blessed #Grateful
