It’s also just poor joke construction & Doja Cat is the wrong example. And if I can think of comics who execute the “dating younger” joke better than you, then you’re just not that good at jokes. Chris Rock still gets laughs from bucking his eyes & sounding funny. I can’t.

For those confused, NYC Core is a city agency responsible for investigating reparations and racial equity in New York City. The agency’s chair sued Mamdani for failing to fund the work and won the case. Now Zohran is attempting to replace her. harlemworldmagazine.com/nyc-…

Think about what you’re saying. It’s 2023 & 15th amendment, passed in 1870 & securing our right to vote, is still routinely undermined. As a group that has been voting Blue for decades, that doesn’t exactly inspire confidence in any political party or system, does it?

How dare Gov. Moore use the images of Black Americans fighting during the Civil Rights Movement. He abandoned Black Americans when it was time for him to step up. #VoteAccordingly
Marylanders are fighting back against Trump and voting YES on Question 3. We won’t be caught sitting on our hands when our democracy is on the line.

People don’t understand nuance. People think in straight lines, not curves. And it’s killing our politics…
When we talk about literacy crisis I want yall to sit with the fact that ppl heard what he said in this clip and think it means “Me—Marc Lamont Hill—likes/voted for Trump”

FD IS Killer Mike with a different hustle (social justice microcelebrity monetization), with different SHILLS (clout thirsty Black radlibs), for different marks (Black liberals)
According to F.D. Signifier, people keep saying he and Killer Mike agree on 90% of things, so why can't they just get along? But sharing an aesthetic of Black liberation isn't the same as sharing a philosophy, and he says theirs have split significantly. For him, the real divide is Black capitalism. He argues that the Black buying power myth, the idea that if we just buy more and own more, the system fixes itself, isn't a road to liberation. Wealth and status for a few doesn't automatically lift a community. He says it was never a personal vendetta. He once hoped for a respectful, private conversation, but Mike has historically avoided that and used his bigger platform to sneak diss critics instead. That's why he calls it misleadership. When public figures with massive reach put their status and business ventures ahead of radical accountability, it has to be addressed publicly. It's about transparency on politics and money, not painting critics as unreasonable or just chasing attention. 🎯

Donald Trump and Elon Musk lied to the world about a white genocide happening in South Africa, and they embarked on a racist refugee programme. Americans did not realise that their racist leader was bringing criminals into America among those refugees. I like how time humbles these racists.

I second this message. The Democratic Party lost its way in the early 2000’s.
Replying to @BreakingBrown
We don’t have a team. Not Blue. Not Red. All we have are policies that improve (or harm) our lives & the lives of people in our community. That should be our focus. Democrats deserve every bit of criticism I’ve leveled against them. They should’ve listened & adjusted. They didn’t have historic #ADOS turnout because, instead of getting out the Black vote with a transformative Black agenda, as I suggested in 2019, they ran on NeverTrump. Instead of listening to our concerns over immigration, they called us xenophobic. This election outcome was predictable, regardless of whether Kamala Harris had 3 months or 3 years. But this was all after Biden dropped out late & Harris, an unpopular VP, was anointed. It’s their fault that they lost. That’s 100% on them. I voted third party. I voted for *MORE* government than Dems had on offer. Will Dems learn their lesson? We’ll see. But as #ADOS voters, we should understand which agencies, policies, & regulations benefit us & support them, regardless of who’s in office. Remember that welfare got gutted under Bill Clinton & too many people didn’t notice because they were invested in party, not policy. That should never happen again, but it requires more attention to politics than too many of us are willing to give. That’s the message
