Dear men, Please refrain from violence under all circumstances. Although Joan has not explicitly named anyone in her videos, she shares that a single slap from a man she used to stay with caused a blood clot - a serious condition that did not develop instantly. Walk away from violence every single time you feel triggered; it is never the answer. My thoughts and prayers are with Joan for full restoration. 🙏 As we launch into the month for the start of the #16Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, let us spread nonviolent ways of resolving our adult disagreements

You should have taken it on! You can always get transfers once plugged in. Never decline a government offer! They are the most secure jobs, pay is good (not great) and sometimes you really don't get to do so much!
Call me stupid but I refused that work from Ministry of Gender because they were taking me to Bulambuli! Wtf is Bulambuli????

MP @MafabiAshaNabul is unhappy with the methods used to check for pregnancy in school girls, terming them intrusive. She proposes the use of known test kits rather than the physical checks which she finds humiliating. Government Chief Whip Hon Jane Ruth Aceng insists the current method is cheaper for the schools, and is routinely used in medical practice. #PlenaryUg

Olive Kigongo has lost her bid to force the sale of a Kololo home she co-owns with her former husband, Moses Kigongo, NRM's first national vice chairperson. Olive told the court that she was no longer in contact with Kigongo, adding that as the occupant, she had struggled to maintain the property or pay ground rent to KCCA. In her view, she said, the property should be sold so that they share the proceeds and move on. Kigongo, using lawyer Fred Muwema, contested the sale. In the end, Justice Elizabeth Alividza said the property can't be sold until pending cases in the Court of Appeal are resolved. @BbegMedia bbegmedia.com/court-stops-ol…

The drastic decline of traffic on Kampala roads is concerning. A routine journey of 1 hour on a normal weekday morning is down to just 20 minutes since the week started.

Arsenal have won 81.1% of Premier League games in which they’ve scored first under Mikel Arteta (137/169). Only Ferguson, Guardiola and Mourinho have a better record. Setting the standard when it matters 👏

I’ve learned that physically healthy, able-bodied people think they can “earn” their health. That if they eat right, exercise, and “don’t be lazy,” they’ll be able-bodied forever. This belief is the insidious underbelly of every piece of disability or healthcare legislation.
One of the most effective ways to keep people from questioning an unjust system is to convince them that their ability to survive it makes them morally superior to those who can't.
