Canada will have a Defective Build crisis on their hands. Lack of oversight by govt & no accountability for rogue builders leaves occupants health & safety at risk. No one should be a victim of defective builds. @CPBH01 #cndpoli #BuyerBeware #EnforceTheCode
Why is the .@fordnation gov't not focused on the safety of the occupants, Min. @Andrea_Khanjin?
We continue to hear from Ontarians who have code violations in their newly built homes.

Building Ontario Faster Act (2026) is about less red tape, faster approvals, and a stronger Ontario.
We are cutting red tape and permit processing delays to speed up approvals, fortify our supply chains and create the most competitive economy in the G7.

Walk down University Drive and Saskatchewan Crescent East and you’ll see quite a few very large homes that have gamed the system with the Saskatoon Developmemt Appeal Board especially those with strong connections to former chairman mentioned in the news article.

The “too tall house” was built as the personal residence for a local builder/developer that sat on the Board of Directors for the Saskatoon & Region Homebuilders Association.
Bylaw appeals are so common for affluent homeowners wishing to game the system.

BREAKING: Quebec will switch to standard time this weekend, PERMANENTLY.
Standard time, also known as natural time, is the best option for our eating habits and health. Good move. Atlantic Canada will likely follow, leaving Ontario as the only province still changing its clocks.

Fire prevention advice is important but so is warranty accountability.
tarion.com/media/tarion-shar…
Tarion administers Ontario’s new-home warranty program and backstops builders’ statutory warranty obligations. Homeowners deserve timely resolutions, meaningful protection and accountability when warranty obligations aren’t met.
Consumer protection must be measured by results, not public relations.

IF these were deposits for pre-construction sales, purchase contracts should have to state specific circumstances under which funds can be released. Contracts are developer-written; deposits for freehold don't have to be held in trust. Two big gaps in #consumerprotection

While the hiatus allowed the government to avoid scrutiny during question period, opposition parties say a number of issues have built up over the summer and fall, giving political critics plenty of issues to grill the Progressive Conservatives on.

Oh right, BILD. Have I ever mentioned Tarion or HCRA? It is so dangerous to buy a new home in Ontario. By law and monopoly, every new home buyer must buy protection from developers to protect themselves from developers. Can you guess what side of arbitration the developers are on? We call his consumer protection in Ontario.

A developer got caught in Halifax running two sets of drawings. Sounds like something that would happen in Saskatoon.
Many builders and developers find it much easier to apply for bylaw variances especially when after getting caught.

💥EXPLOSIVE ATIP: Immigration Canada knew Indian agents were running MASSIVE FRAUD in the trucking industry and the student visa program as early as 2017 — and stamped the evidence "DO NOT DISCLOSE."
According to records released under the Access to Information Act, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) maintained an internal procedures manual for its New Delhi visa office documenting systemic fraud across the student visa and temporary foreign worker streams. The manual instructs officers to treat fraud as anticipated rather than exceptional
The most damning thing about this scandal is not the fraud — it's that the government predicted it, kept it running, and then stamped the file "DO NOT DISCLOSE."
Canada didn't lose control of its immigration system—they monetized it.
