Cleaner Waterbodies, Healthier Communities in Vijayawada! 🌊
Strengthening the vision of clean cities and clean waterbodies under #SwachhataHiSeva2026, Vijayawada Municipal Corporation has launched a massive waterbody clean-up drive across the city.
With specialised aquatic equipment, boats and heavy JCBs deployed on the ground, sanitation teams are working to clear accumulated waste and debris from the city’s canals, restoring cleaner waterbodies. Complementing these efforts, anti-mosquito measures and public health spraying are being carried out to minimise health risks and create a cleaner environment for citizens. 🌿

5 Minutes of Use. 500 Years of Waste.
A plastic bottle may serve us for only a few minutes, but once thrown away, it can remain in the environment for hundreds of years. Improperly discarded plastic can pollute our surroundings, clog drains and harm animals and ecosystems.
Let us make responsible choices—reduce single-use plastic, carry reusable bottles, and dispose of plastic waste through proper collection and recycling channels.
Use less plastic today for a cleaner tomorrow.
