*Water Supply Update-Kyabakuza Branch β Masaka Area*
Dear Valued Customers,
We are pleased to inform you that water supply to the Kyabakuza Branch and surrounding areas has been successfully restored.
This follows the successful overhaul and reinstatement of the Kyabakuza high-lift pump at the NWSC Static Plant Workshop. The pump was received this morning, coupled to the motor, and pumping operations have resumed.
We appreciate the tireless efforts of our team of specialist engineers in restoring water supply to the MasakaβKyabakuza community.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.

At the 20th Annual General Meeting of the Microfinance Support Center Limited (MSC), I urged the Board and Management to anchor every decision on the principles of safety, liquidity, and growth of the Centreβs funds.
I implored management to resolve all outstanding gaps and to strengthen loan recovery comprehensively so that affordable credit keeps revolving to benefit more Ugandans.
Ultimately, MSCβs success will be seen in stronger enterprises, more jobs and higher household incomes across Uganda. @mofpedU @MSCuganda

Charcoal Ban vs LPG Gas
@FDCOfficial1βs Centenary argues that the Masaka man may soon lose the distinctive flavour of his simmering charcoal-cooked meals. He says the ban is unfair to Ugandans who cannot afford or access clean cooking alternatives, amid high cost of electricity.

Good News; High Court rules that wives must return dowry after divorce. In a ruling, the court says that even if the dowry was paid to the wife's parents, she must return the dowry to the husband and later demand compensation from her parents.
Since the marriage is over and divorce has been finalised, not returning dowry implies that the wife owes her husband. If the husband paid Ksh 1.2m, the wife must return the money. If he gave them 50 cows and 100 goats the wife must return 50 cows and 100 goats or more depending on the value at that time.

NWSC Deputy MD Inspects Package 2B Works as More Areas Set to Benefit
Kira-Nsasa-Namugongo
National Water and Sewerage Corporation (NWSC) Deputy Managing Director for Technical Services, Eng. Johnson Amayo, has inspected ongoing works under the Rehabilitation, Restructuring, Rezoning and Extension of the Greater Kampala Metropolitan Area (GKMA) Water Supply Network Project (Package 2B).
During his visit to project sites in the KiraβNamugongoβNsasa corridor, Eng. Amayo tasked the contractor to ensure that all workspaces are properly reinstated to their original state once construction is complete.
The projectβs main objective is to extend and improve the distribution pipeline network in Kampala, Wakiso, Mukono and Buikwe districts so that water supply coverage can meet demand through the year 2040. It specifically bridges the gap between the high production capacity of the Katosi Water Treatment Plant (160 million litres per day) and rising demand in North and West Kampala and surrounding areas. Although Katosi currently operates at approximately 52 percent of capacity because of historical distribution bottlenecks, Package 2B is designed to eliminate those constraints and deliver more reliable water to rapidly growing neighbourhoods.
Upon completion, the project is expected to improve water supply to the following areas:
