If you can understand Japanese, or are in the process of learning how to do so, and you are also interested in anthropology/linguistics/archaeogenetics/prehistory, then I can highly recommend this channel. Videos have both good sources and good explanations for various topics.

There's some evidence east asians are resistant to blue light and how it can effect on circadian rhythms.
Which may explain heavy bright white interior lights at home, LED cities in China or asian restaurants. And their heavy screen and cell phone use isn't disrupting them like it is disrupting other people.

Most Japanese people watch daytime TV shows where the Japanese equivalent of James Corden goes to restaurants with the host and goes “ah! oishii!”
every country is filled with 99% normies so when people have this crazy belief that Japan is some pedophile sanctuary because raunchy anime gets produced there i have to remind people that most japanese people hate that shit and just watch live action tv and disney movies just like the rest of the world. ultra racist to believe anything otherwise

School uniforms are often presented as soul-crushing conformity, but they're often implemented to prevent bullying on the basis of what clothes kids can afford.
But, of course, fascism is when standards, even when standards diminish the saliency of race or class.
Thank god we can find and intercept lost hikers as they mistakenly run away from rescue in dense forest!
Purdue University's IDEAS Lab built an autonomous drone that tracks runners through dense forests completely without GPS or cloud networks.
By running 3D LiDAR mapping and obstacle-avoidance AI entirely on-chip, it can weave under tree canopies and predict target movement through blind spots in real time.
Massive implications for next-gen search & rescue and edge AI.

People basically believe that anything which isn't directly interacting with physical delivery of goods / services is "fake". You even see people in Excel jobs think of them as fake, without ever stopping to consider why they're employed in the first place

This is why I think the way forward is to replace the University with the Campus, a kind of walled garden city with costs kept artificially low, where students are free to pursue their independent projects. Ideally, you'd make them literally walled and in desolate locales.
What kind of boring ass books, albums and movies are you consuming? Even books made for education can be very stimulating (high dopamine) if you find the topic interesting.
They surrender much of their autonomy to the woman in their relationship. I've seen way too many cases of this myself IRL.

I’ve not found people who call traveling a hobby to be particularly curious about the world.
Thailand has a lower fertility rate than Japan, yet no one says "Now I understand why Thailand has such a low fertility rate" after visiting the country.
