Yeah, this retard is so fucking dumb that he doesn’t realize that our policies serve the Ukrainian people. Pieces of shit like this want the war to continue until every last man in Ukraine has died in a ditch. They are utter scum of the Earth.

Correct. Using Starlink, a civilian commercial service, for offensive drone strikes to kill people has never been allowed, nor should it be. Starshield, a different system, is controlled by the US government. What they decide to do is up to them. Ukraine military violated Starlink terms of service and used it for offensive drone strikes to kill people. That loophole was closed last week. Starlink remains critical to the defense of Ukraine, as it is the only system that cannot be jammed or blown up, at least for now. Were Starlink to be turned off, the Ukrainian front line would collapse immediately. This is NOT a threat, it is simply a statement of fact. Starlink was also crucial to preventing Russia from overrunning Ukraine in the early days of the war, as all other means of communication were destroyed or jammed by Russia. SpaceX has done more to defend Ukraine than any private company on Earth BY FAR. That said, I have nothing but UTTER CONTEMPT for the virtue-signaling evil warmongers who push for endless slaughter and offer no realistic solution to the conflict. May you burn in hell. End of story.
STARLINK WORKS THE SAME WAY ITS ALWAYS WORKED. ITS NOT A WEAPONS SYSTEM, NO MATTER HOW MUCH UKRAINE WANTS IT TO BE.

On a long enough timescale, all organic life will be relegated to a permanent underclass. There are fundamental limitations to our hardware that we have projected on to the external universe. I don’t think that will hold at the limit, and we should respect that. It’s law

We’re about to discover that the majority of academia is fraud. It’s very important that we do this, because academia is one of the strongholds of leftism.
"For $500m today you can thoroughly audit every paper ever written. Every p-hacked result, every plagiarist, every fabrication, every citation club, everything." real peer review has never been tried, but is about to be...

Terence Tao needs to be given a copy of Antifragile. Birds take off, then some academic branch lectures birds how to fly & takes the credit for it.
This is a slide from Terence Tao's 'Math 2.0' public lecture yesterday evening at Caltech. I am highly confident that, if the cure actually worked, almost any Stage 4 cancer patient would tell you that human comprehension of its mechanism is completely irrelevant to them.

top notch sarcasm really, how can you be mad about sudden accelerated scientific progress as a so-called man of science? academia is revealing it's true grotesque decel rent seeking nature and it's beautiful to watch the mask fall off
It must be so exciting to be a mathematician right now. Imagine spending your life with your colleagues on problems you think will help humanity once solved, and watching them get solved.

One of the biggest things I like that AI will do is destroy scientific dogma and much of its stagnancy. It will force people to start breaking the norms and coming up with crazy ideas that end up changing the world.

a bit over a decade ago an older colleague used to joke about his old code that "I wrote it long ago when I was a noob and only me and god could make sense of it. and seeing as I forgot almost everything about it, now only god knows" today, machine god is a subscrption service
AI is much better than me at legacy projects. I come. I know nothing. I can’t do shit. I ask AI and in 5 minutes I already have a high-level architecture overview derived from the code and configs. AI makes onboarding so much easier.
