Me looking at all the other millennials that didn’t make it through the tattoo trend unscathed.

it’s unfortunate that many women believe that women will choose to labor unmedicated for simply the “medal” or bragging rights instead of understanding the true prize (and the reasons to do it unmedicated) being a smoother recovery, lower risk of 3rd/4th degree tearing, lower risk of needing vacuum or forceps, the ability to move around during and after birth, peeing without a catheter, your natural flow of hormones following labor are not disrupted and allow for best baby bonding and breastfeeding outcomes, less swelling, avoiding possible long-term complications like chronic pain and nerve damage, and the many more benefits. so yes, you should be proud of yourself for enduring the worst now for you and your baby’s benefit later.
I understand there’s no “prize” for having a baby naturally with no epidural, but I didn’t manage to do it last time, and labor is really very painful, so actually I think you are allowed to be proud of yourself and have some bragging rights, I’m gonna be pretty proud of myself if I can manage to do it naturally this second time around

Getting a wife is very powerful because you get a personal psychic that will tell you things like “your keys are in the gray pants in the hamper” and “he will ultimately betray you.”

my marriage is the easiest aspect of my whole life. we genuinely have so much fun together every day
Anybody’s marriage not hard? Who is excited to see their spouse everyday and it feels light? Can we hear a lil something different? I’m into it.

Normalize pursuing the highest version of yourself in all domains of life. Run fast. Lift heavy. Eat right. Run up the business. Get your mind in order. Treat strangers like friends, and friends like family. Life is short. Pursue your potential. Inspire others.

Oh you have high ideals as a first time mom? Just wait…. just wait until you get into a groove and feel so proud of yourself for executing a decision you felt confident enough about to try. I hope you crush it and I believe in you.

I've been married 30 years. When we got married, we agreed that as the husband, I would make all the big decisions and my wife would make all the small decisions. It's worked out great! I'm just surprised there have never been any big decisions.

When someone has “Do Not Disturb” on it’s like oh ok I didn’t realize the great philosopher was in their hour of seclusion pardon me for even daring to enter their precious mind palace

could try: “thank you for offering me this neurotoxin. I’ll pass bc it shrinks brain hippocampal grey matter volume and accelerates white-matter loss; impairs neurogenesis and elevates neuro-inflammatory markers. It fragments REM and slow-wave sleep, making me depressed, grumpy and slow. But please don’t let that interfere with your enjoyment.”

ever since i read ‘an argument is two people rushing to be the victim’ i looked at arguing completely different. it’s either we’re having a civil conversation or none at all.
