Newest Bears DT Jeffery Simmons currently ranks No. 1 on ESPN's pass rush win rate for defensive tackles. He finished second in that category last season and first in 2024.

---> GB (17) @ DET (17) <---
DET has 4th & 1 at the DET 24, Q4 04:53
Recommendation (VERY STRONG): 👉 Go for it (+8.1 WP)
Actual play: 👉 J.Gibbs up the middle to DET 22 for -2 yards (K.Nixon).

What I really love about this is the filtering options available.
You can check out the Blackhawks D, and using the menu, ask to add any other teams players and compare them (left image).
But thats not all. You can also add players from other teams! Want to know how Thomas Harley compares - throw him in there! (right image)

This tweet has 500 retweets, but it's just not correct. Raiders gave up 1,035 in first two games of 2016. That 1976 Seahawks team didn't have the record and ranks 68th on the list of most yards allowed in first two games. Sensational gets more clicks than factual.
The Colts’ defense now holds the NFL record for most yards allowed in the first two games of a season with a jaw-dropping 1,029.
The 1976 Seahawks previously held the record allowing 884 total yards.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The Colts allowed 1,029 yards through their first two 2026 games but do not hold the NFL record; the 2016 Raiders allowed 1,035 yards in theirs (surpassing the 1976 Seahawks' 884).

-Run/Pass value difference
-Explosive play net
-Turnover value net
-Special Teams value net
-Penalty value net

No QB lost more EPA per dropback to drops than Jayden Daniels last year at +0.178.
He also led the league with an 8% drop rate.
Episode 1,372 - Guest: @PattonAnalytics on his research revealing Jayden Daniels was the QB most hurt by drops on a per-play basis last season. No, he did not "regress." Terrific analysis on a reality that hasn't received anywhere near enough attention.

Proof that data is only as good as the person interpreting it. Saying EPA/play is a QB-exclusive stat is wild stuff.

The goal is to make projections based on historical data to display on player cards.

With football season just about over, one of the biggest sources of feedback I've gotten in this first year is surrounding fumbles. I've heard it is too punishing for a player, especially if their team doesn't lose the ball or points aren't scored off of the turnover.

Fun fact — I build everything behind this account myself — data pipelines, charts, infra, all of it.
I’m starting to share more of the tech and software side here → @cepvi0
