What is really heartwarming about her return is that people who wrapped themselves in her cause in 2025 but then lost their voice in 2026 after Trump made it clear he wanted her out of the way have regained said moral voice.
Venezuela 🇻🇪: despite the pouring rains Venezuelans continue to flood the highway in Yaracuy state to greet Maria Corina Machado as she is making her way to the capital Caracas.

Strong closing message, really makes people feel he understands their economic concerns, leaves on a note of optimism. This is lunacy.
Trump on Norway: Norway has become a shithouse country. Norway sucks.

“Whoever is handing Putin the gift of a more vulnerable Ukraine should at least have the guts to put their name on it.”
The shifting explanations from Musk and the administration sound like Abbott and Costello’s “Who’s on First?” Except the consequences for Ukrainian civilians are deadly. Musk says he didn’t do it. The administration says it didn’t either. Yet someone in the administration reportedly told Musk to undo it, and Ukraine reports only partial restoration. Are we supposed to believe Hegseth and the Pentagon don’t know the status of a capability critical to U.S., Ukrainian and allied security? Whoever is handing Putin the gift of a more vulnerable Ukraine should at least have the guts to put their name on it. Hiding behind denials while innocent people pay the price is cowardice. Meanwhile, Putin keeps murdering civilians and trying to starve and freeze Ukraine into submission. Americans deserve answers. Ukrainians deserve the means to defend themselves.

This is bonkers. I have 87 criticisms about British defense ($$, Chagos, etc), but the government helping you prepare for an emergency is not one of them. If she thinks the army is going to take time to deliver some bottles of water on her doorstep in a crisis, she's going to die. This is stereotypical what a lot of the US thinks about Europe, and I'm sorry.
'You're so wrong!' Should we prepare for potential food shortages and power cuts, or is it the Government’s job to protect us? @IainDale, @Martha_Gill and @CarolineFlint debate.

Let me add, what kind of self-respecting woman in this age takes affront at just keeping a few things in the freezer and a gallon or two of water to take care of herself? She needs social services (who have their own families are real responsibilities) to come do that for her? I say this as someone who is baffled that there is a run on Trader Joe's every time there is a storm that might keep people indoors for 36 hours.

Yes, but that's peanuts compared to his beliefs that Russia is a victim and China isn't helping Iran.
Very problematic if the President actually believes his job approval is at 60 percent.

Imagine a foreign leader saying “For too long, our country has relied on American farmers for the food we need.” What an absolute embarrassment 🤦‍♂️ And she doesn’t want farmers to be allowed to buy inputs like fertilizer from our allies. No wonder costs are through the roof.
For too long, America has relied on foreign countries for the fertilizer our farmers need. Under @POTUS and @VP, that changes. 🇺🇸 This historic $1.3 BILLION investment will bring fertilizer manufacturing BACK to America, strengthen our supply chains, and put American farmers FIRST!

Looks like we found the people killing the cats in Ohio
Mediaite: Amy Acton’s Mother Was Convicted of Killing Kittens New information about the criminal history of Donna Arthur, the estranged mother of Ohio Democratic nominee for governor, Amy Acton, is coming to light amid the backlash about her appearance in a Vivek Ramaswamy ad — including her conviction for animal neglect after several kittens in her care died in a hot car mediaite.com/crime/amy-acton…

So tomorrow, the first tanker carrying 40,000 metric tons of Russian diesel is set to depart for the US. Let’s do the math. 40,000 tons is roughly 300,000 barrels. The US consumes about 4 million barrels of diesel per day. That means this entire tanker covers less than two hours of American demand. At the same time, the US exports around 1.5 million barrels of diesel a day—meaning this shipment is equivalent to just 4.5 hours of US exports. The voyage from Ust-Luga to US terminals takes 2.5 to 3 weeks. By the time the tanker arrives, the US will have exported over 4 million tons of its own diesel—a hundred times more than what this single tanker is delivering. So, one of the world's largest diesel exporters is buying diesel from an aggressor state just to cover two hours of domestic consumption? - Presidential Commissioner for Sanctions Policy Vladyslav Vlasiuk.

The thing Vance gets about politics is that you don't sell half your soul.
Vance: The media and the Democrats in the state of Ohio are obsessed because Vivek Ramaswamy had the audacity to run a TV commercial which calls it out like it is and calls Amy Acton a liar.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The ad features Amy Acton's estranged mother disputing Acton's account of childhood homelessness, rape and abuse. Both 1978 Mahoning County court records and Acton's brother, Phillip Stearns, corroborate her account of living in a tent and abuse. wyso.org/2026-10-20/amy…

Wow, the $100,000 bribe for Kimberly Guilfoyle looks like child’s play! Alina Habba was paid $50 million for a pardon, AND it worked! This whole regime operates more like the mafia than a federal government! I gifted this so you can read it nytimes.com/2026/10/20/us/po…

People have excused every destructive thing he has done since 2017 as "just negotiating." It's been a very lucrative rationalization for them.
.@POTUS: "I'm in the midst of negotiating a deal. When you're negotiating a deal, you don't do that to the people you're negotiating with."

Why don't our allies trust us, I wonder
Ukraine wants peace, Russia does not. Zelenskyy is willing to stop the fight along the current lines, Putin wants to conquer more territory. When Trump shouts ceasefire, Ukraine listens while Russia ignores him. Trump says let's have a summit, Putin says I want China involved. And this dynamic repeats itself over and over again. Pretty obvious which side is more reasonable!

Putin is no humanitarian. He’s left nothing but death and destruction from Grozny to Mariupol. He’s killed thousands of civilians and murdered political opponents over his authoritarian terrorist regime. He’s a violent anti-democratic thug who’s left his own people in despair.
Steve Witkoff to Putin: You talk so much about my president, President Trump, being a humanitarian. You are a humanitarian also, sir, and I salute that, I commend you, and I thank you again.
