The @aao_ophth is warning the public against wearing costume contact lenses purchased without a prescription. These illegally sold cosmetic lenses may not be sterile and can cause a host of serious eye problems. Stay safe this Halloween! #RPB #aao #Halloween #EyeHealth #Vision

Keep contact lenses away from water! We know that #nowater graphic conceived by @reenwilson is effective in changing behaviour so #contactlens manufacturers please get on board @MeniconUK @SeeAlconScience @CooperVision @CooperVisionANZ @BauschLomb @UNSWoptomvsci @aaopt

Like driving a car, there’s several reminders to wear your seatbelt. We all know it can save your life! Why can’t an image like no water exposure on the packaging of medical devices help remind CL wearers and save someone’s vision?!

This is amazing news after many years of work! Proud to have helped in a tiny way. This is the first licensed treatment for AK, and will bring relief and ease the suffering of many people around the world🩷

If you are planning a swim this summer, remember that contact lenses and water do not mix.
This is great 👇
This is my piece on the amazing Audrey Tang who is using her digital hacking skills to fight fake news, tackle pandemics and properly democratise politics.

I absolutely love this thread. People power creating change. 💪🙌
We couldn’t help but notice how much of yesterday’s #KingsSpeech was born out of campaigning! Let’s take a look at some of the new legislation.

Important paper in the fight against #acanthamoeba. Thanks to @FionaHenriquez #research team. @UNSWoptomvsci @reenwilson
.@British_Airways customer service is beyond a joke. You have stolen £206.92 from me and are refusing to accept any responsibility or to help.

I know it’s a crazy idea but I think that the NHS would have a lot less missed appointments if people were able to actually contact someone to let them know they couldn’t make an appointment.
I love this - a great example
of holding the question/issue WITH people, not just attempting to address it FOR them. We’re used to trying to fix things but sometimes we need to say we don’t have the answers and we could do with some help! Great stuff @BenAllenGP
I’m there at the back - honest! Amazing day with some really brilliant and thoughtful folks. Thanks all! #quality24
