Soil is expensive. When building new raised beds, place logs at the bottom to save money and improve water retention. It’s called β€œhugelkultur”. The logs act like water sponges ("water battery") during dry spells and they improve drainage.

I eat them with other foods. Not by themselves. The goal is to have lots of different foods.

God forbid leaves go near the ground. Soon they’ll announce a leaf license in order to handle them! It’s all about control.

Don’t actually steal them. Ask first. People are usually happy to give them to me. It’s a win-win.

Oven stopped working today. Learned how to repair it by watching 3 minute YouTube video on my iPhone. Ordered new replacement igniter on Amazon. Part arrived today. On the same day that I ordered it, with free shipping, on a Sunday. Fixed appliance myself. Only spent $27.75 in total. Try doing that under socialism. Capitalism works!! πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

Amazing! Pine is good for blueberries too because they need acidic soil.
