Charlie was a friend of mine
I haven’t said this publicly because I didn’t want to clout chase as so many others did, but enough time has passed
I had dinner with him twice the month he was assassinated
One of which was a big honor for me, he asked me to co-host a dinner with him for ~16 biggest donors at his annual investor event
We also recorded a podcast together that month which has never been released
He was genuinely somebody that I loved—deeply misunderstood based on the way he was clipped—go watch full interviews with him
Watching people celebrate his death (and then celebrate again as a “kirkaversary”) was genuinely one of the hardest things I’ve experienced
A darkness in humanity that shouldn’t exist
I believe Charlie’s assassination was a major turning point in history. He was the person that held MAGA together
He is who kept the podcasters in check when they went against POTUS
He could bridge the pro Israel crowd with the anti war crowd
New MAGA with old MAGA
He’s the person that empathized with young voters
I have hundreds of texts with him. This was the last one that I still have (we also used signal disappearing messages)
I still scroll through these texts periodically just to remember him
I’m crying as I type this, and I don’t cry often
It’s hard to explain how special of a person we lost

You should accuse me of supporting DEI for White guys for not wanting US grads to compete with every person in India for an entry level job in Kansas, that would really round this whole schtick out

“Everybody’s profiting.” -President Trump
Except the people who bought his coins...
Trump family crypto earnings: $1.4 billion
$TRUMP meme coin: -98.4%
$MELANIA meme coin: -99.5%
Perhaps the most blatant example of corruption in the history of American politics.

This is an unusual tweet. My reading of this is the Vice President is blaming the policy of the President. And the son of the President is tweeting agreement.
Am I missing something? Is there a really clever play at work here or is someone dense?

20 years ago, after Republicans suffered a blowout in the 2006 midterms, Rush Limbaugh shared a perspective many of us are feeling today:
Rush: “I feel liberated, and I’m going to tell you as plainly as I can why. I no longer am going to have to carry the water for people who I don’t think deserve having their water carried…
Now I’m liberated from having to constantly come in here every day and try to buck up a bunch of people who don’t deserve it, to try to carry the water and make excuses for people who don’t deserve it.”

When we started Jobs Now we really thought the hidden jobs problem would be solved in one year.
We thought it was so egregious - Microsoft running newspaper ads asking for paper mail applications for Blizzard developers, apply to Global Mobility (Immigration), while laying off thousands of those SAME workers- that public outrage would be immediate (it was!)
And the fix was so simple - DOL writes a new regulation. PERM ads have to be posted on your website! No hiding in the back of the print newspaper! Easy! Done in 6 months!
Again and again, our government has been presented with easy ways to stop American Immigration Replacement - with or without Congress.
Ban hidden jobs.
End OPT & stop paying companies to replace new grads with foreigners.
End H4EAD.
And they haven't done it.
From the outside, it looks to us like there is a real disinterest in the core work of governing. Filling out the paperwork, changing the rules, making sure the department policies are putting AMERICANS FIRST, day in and day out as they ought to.
That will never work. Sometimes people are frustrated with the specifics we ask for - we have deliberately taken an "eat your vegetables" approach to policy. Memes and crazy pronouncements are fun, but what will actually change your lives and ours is the slow, unglamorous work of changing the rules to make sure Americans are always at the front of the line.
So we will say it again, for everyone to hear:
Ban hidden jobs.
End OPT/H4EAD/CPT - the visa alphabet soup!
For gods sake REPEAL THE H1B.
Or you will never get elected again.

🚨NEW: Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick sat down today with @WSJ to discuss the launch of Grand Theft Auto VI.
The interviewer literally said straight to his face that they don’t have any major hits, despite the huge success of GTA 5 and Red Dead 2… 💀
Strauss’ reaction says it ALL… What a clueless clown she is… 🤡😭

DeSantis on Congressional Republicans:
“Why haven’t we done immigration? Shut off H1-B visas! Why haven’t we codified Trump’s immigration executive orders? Why haven’t we stripped jurisdiction from the federal courts over deportation cases? There’s so many things that could have been done, they didn’t even attempt it!”.

In Miami-Dade, the more Cuban the precinct, the more Republican the vote:
Under 10% Cuban: 🔵 Nixon +35.7
70%+ Cuban: 🔴 Moody +32.4
The county still shifted D+18.6 from 2024 but this was far less than in South Texas. Heavily Cuban areas likely held the shift back.

Look. She’s ending school choice. One Republican policy that minority voters love. She’s sticking your children in shitty schools where they will be stuck whether you want them there or not. Her kids will go to private school though you watch.

Seth Rogen has all the hallmarks of a man who’s going to leave his wife after 20+ years, impregnate someone who was born after their wedding day, and tell you fatherhood has changed his life, given him a new zest and he’s never felt a love like it etc etc etc
Seth Rogen says he and his wife are now more grateful than ever that they decided not to have children he’s not afraid to explain why.
He admits they used to question whether they’d made the right decision, but now their conversations have shifted to, “Honestly, thank God we don’t have children.”
His reasoning? They’re in the prime of their lives, understand themselves better than ever, and have the freedom to pursue their careers, enjoy life, and build the kind of relationship they’ve always wanted.
But Seth took it a step further, saying he sees people with children struggling to find the same time for work and personal enjoyment that he and his wife have.
“I seem to get a lot more active enjoyment out of not having kids than anyone I know seems to get out of having kids.”
That statement will probably divide people. Some see raising children as life’s greatest joy, while others believe a fulfilling life doesn’t have to include parenthood.
Do you think Seth has a point, or is there a kind of happiness you can only understand after having children?

Imagine being the product of billions of years of unbroken life, countless generations surviving unimaginable odds and sacrifices, only to decide that the next billion years of life that could follow you aren't worth sacrificing a little personal freedom and enjoyment for.
