🚨 Mikel Arteta on Declan Rice: “I remember one of my first conversations with Declan after he joined us. We were discussing what I expected from him, his position, the way we wanted to play, the responsibilities he would have in the team. And at one point, he stopped me. He said, ‘Boss, can I ask you something?’ I said, ‘Of course.’ He asked, ‘When things aren’t going well, do you want me to stay in my position, or do you want me to try to change something?’ I remember smiling because we’d spent almost an hour discussing tactics, and he was asking me about responsibility. I told him, ‘Declan, I will give you instructions. But I cannot stand beside you for 90 minutes and tell you when to be brave. You have to recognise those moments yourself.’ He nodded. And, against Bayern, I remembered that conversation. We were losing 2-1, and we needed something different. We made changes, we adjusted our positions, and Declan started finding opportunities to move higher up the pitch. But what impressed me was that he never forgot the rest of his job. There were moments when he was protecting our defenders, moments when he was helping us progress the ball, and then suddenly you would see him arriving near Bayern’s penalty area. After 80 minutes, against an opponent like Bayern Munich, that requires an incredible amount of energy. Then he scores. Of course everybody sees the finish. It’s a beautiful moment. But I was watching everything that happened before it. I was watching a player who understood what the team needed and was prepared to give more of himself to provide it. After the match, I went to speak to him. Before I could say anything about his goal, he said, ‘Boss, we should have won.’ That is Declan. I told him, ‘I know. But do you remember what you asked me when you first arrived?’ He looked at me. I said, ‘You asked what you should do when things weren’t going well.’ And he smiled because he remembered. I told him, ‘Tonight you answered your own question.’ For me, this is what leadership looks like. It is not always shouting in the dressing room or wearing the captain’s armband. Sometimes it is a player who is tired, who knows the team is struggling, but still finds the courage to demand more from himself. Declan has grown enormously since arriving here. Technically, tactically, physically, but especially in his understanding of how much influence he can have on a football match. And the beautiful thing is that I don’t think he realises how good he can still become. When I look at him, I don’t see a finished player. I see somebody who is constantly asking what more he can give. As a coach, you cannot ask for much more than that.”

🚨 Arsène Wenger on the advantages PSG hold over other teams in the Champions League: 🗣️ Arsène Wenger: “There is a structural problem here that people do not want to discuss properly. PSG can postpone Ligue 1 matches when it suits them. They can move a domestic fixture to protect their players for the Champions League, arrive fully fit, fully prepared, and then play a team that has just come through a full Premier League weekend with no such option. “That is not squad management. That is a competitive advantage the other clubs do not have. In England, in Spain, in Germany, the league schedule is fixed. You play when you are told. You cannot ring the league and ask them to move the game because you have a Champions League match four days later. PSG can. And they use it. “Add to that the level of the domestic competition. When the gap between first and the rest is so large, you can rest half your team, protect key players from fatigue and injury, and still win the league comfortably. The others cannot do the same. They have to play their best players every week just to stay in the race. Then they meet PSG in Europe and the French side have fresher legs, fewer minutes in their legs, and a better recovery window. “I managed in the Premier League for many years. I know what it costs to compete on both fronts with no flexibility in the calendar. The physical and mental load is different. When one club can choose when it plays its league games and the others cannot, the Champions League is no longer being contested on equal terms. “People will say every big club rotates. That is true. But rotation is one thing. The ability to postpone a league match so your entire squad is fresh for Europe is another. That is an advantage the rules of the competition allow, and it is an advantage that makes the path easier for one team than for the others. If we want a fair Champions League, these differences have to be addressed. Otherwise we are simply watching some teams play under different conditions than the rest.”

Absolutely bang on from Keane. How good City’s team is, or how good the individuals are, is a total irrelevance. It was all built on lies. None of it exists without them breaking the rules. Literally every single game they’ve won since 2009 is pointless.

Arsène Wenger told the world Manchester City were money doping, but the world turned a deaf ear. He spoke about Chelsea’s shady deals, yet Mourinho taunted him and called him a SPECIALIST IN FAILURE. The football world mocked him for being honest and calling out corruption, especially as Sir Alex Ferguson and Manchester United bought the media. Le Professeur Wenger was always right. The only manager to go unbeaten in the Premier League and the only one to lead his team to tea with the Queen of England. Class is permanent. The greyhound manager in English football.
One day the world will accept that Arsène Wenger is the greatest manager in history. He changed English football, transformed Arsenal, wrestled against principalities and still won the league with an unmatched record as the Invincibles. He told this absolute bloke Mike Dean to his face that he was an embarrassing disgrace always robbing him and Arsenal, then got suspended and fined £40k. Today the world knows what Arsene knew long ago. Arsene also told Sir Alex Ferguson that if video replays were available Manchester United would not win the title, because the system was corrupt, bought by United and influenced by Alex Ferguson. Fourteen years after Ferguson retired, and with VAR, United have still not won a league title. Le Professeur Arsene Wenger has always been right. Do you know: the tiki-taka Pep and Barcelona are known for is the fast, clean, swift pattern Arsene Wenger invented and advanced in the Premier League?

🚨🗣️ Jesse Marsch: When I was still the Leeds United manager we tried to sign Erling Haaland but they said we have to pay £150m, then Manchester City signed him for £52m,it was very obvious that something was not clear about that deal, He added that Manchester City should be punished heavily and he would even want them to get relegated 🤯

Pep Guardiola inherited a team with De Bruyne, David Silva, Kompany, Sterling and Aguero, and still spent €500m in his first two seasons. For context, in his first 18 months, he spent as much as Arsene Wenger did in 21 years. That’s what £900m of artificial revenue allowed.
