Huliaipole Front: Russia Sends Recruited Mercenaries from Africa and Asia on Near-Suicidal Assaults Ukraine's 7th Air Assault Corps of the Forces continues its defensive operation on the Huliaipole sector. Last week, Ukraine’s Defence Forces neutralised around 900 enemy personnel - nearly 150 more than in the previous reporting period (and the highest figure recorded in the past two months). Russia is forced by mounting casualties on the frontline to regroup and replace depleted units. According to available information, the 5th Combined Arms Army is replacing the 57th Separate Guards Motor Rifle Brigade with elements of the 60th Separate Motor Rifle Brigade. Once its ranks have been replenished, the enemy will attempt to restore the intensity of its assault operations. Russia's primary tactic remains infiltration by small infantry groups, typically consisting of one to five soldiers. Lacking its own manpower, it also uses foreign citizens in its assault operations. Ukrainian units in the 7th Corps' area of responsibility have documented the involvement of foreign nationals, including recruited mercenaries from African and Asian countries. Russia's recruitment methods follow a familiar pattern of deception. Foreigners are promised civilian jobs or safe military contracts. But once they arrive, their documents and mobile phones are confiscated. Cut off from communication and stripped of any means to seek help, they are then forcibly sent to the frontline - often on missions that amount to a death sentence. This is a cynical practice reminiscent of the colonial wars of the past. People from distant countries are lured with false promises (sometimes under coercion), deprived of their freedom and thrown into the deadliest fighting as expendable manpower in an imperialist conquest. The hypocrisy is staggering. While Moscow continues to proclaim its "solidarity" with the countries of the Global South and presents itself as an "opponent" of colonialism, it is deceiving their citizens and sending them to die in a war of imperial aggression. Its rhetoric of "friendship" conceals a brutal reality: russians treat people from these countries as disposable cogs of their war machine. This means a clear warning to people from other countries: do not fall into russian recruitment schemes or travel there in search of work - you risk being sent to a war that is not yours. Recently, on the Huliaipole front, Ukraine's Southern Defence Forces captured a citizen of the Republic of Indonesia who had been fighting alongside russia's 39th Separate Motor Rifle Brigade.
