Mr. Vembu, I came back after my Harvard programme wanting to build in India. I still do. But my experience has shaken my faith in the system.
I’m working in AI and healthcare. Even getting clarity on the regulatory pathway for a clinical validation study has been a struggle. In education, I’ve encountered resistance to adopting AI. My qualifications feel irrelevant when institutions won’t engage with the work. And when basic civic issues arise, police support has been difficult to secure.
Where is the conducive environment we’re asking people to return to?
Who is accountable for giving founders clear regulatory answers? How do educators evaluate new technology responsibly? Where does a citizen turn when local authorities don’t help? What recourse exists when nobody takes ownership?
You’ve built here. What concrete governance reforms would you push for and how can people like us help make them happen?
“Come back, let’s build” is a call I believe in. How do we make the system support those who answer it?
Indians have made a major contribution to America's technological prowess. Yet, a big part of America no longer wants us.
Indians who are on a visa in the US face the painful prospect of uprooting the life you have built with hard work.
Let this be the birth pains of a bold new future.
Come back, let's build India 🙏
Before you tell Indians to stay in India, look at what we are living through in Mumbai.
I live in Sion Kamghar Society, Sion East. Families are still inside this building. Look at the stairs we have to use. Look at the rubble around our homes.
Our redevelopment involves Puri Developers. Residents are demanding an investigation into alleged coercion by the developer and the society committee.
Our lift does not work. Residents say attempts to repair it are being blocked. Imagine carrying water and groceries up these broken stairs or needing medical help.
We depend on water tankers because we are not receiving BMC water. Residents say the building has been represented as unoccupied.
WE ARE STILL HERE. These are our homes.
Domestic workers have been stopped from coming upstairs. Grocery deliveries and even medicines have reportedly been obstructed. Recently, dead fish were dumped across the floors. We want those responsible identified and held accountable.
How much must everyday life deteriorate before a family gives in and leaves?
Wings A–D were demolished after being classified C1. Residents report that around half the affected families are without transit rent amid disagreements over redevelopment terms. Some have sold their flats under financial pressure.
Residents also allege that E Wing flats, many belonging to committee members, were vacated before the A–D demolition and before the IOD was obtained. Utilities were disconnected, and dismantling work left dust and debris.
Now residents of F Wing approximately 12 years old and, according to residents, not classified C1 are being pressured to vacate.
We are Jain and Hindu families. Our faith, our homes and our dignity deserve respect. Nobody should have to endure these conditions.
There have been repeated police visits. Yet we are still living like this. We are taking our fight to the High Court, but we need water and safe access TODAY.
To the Chief Minister, Municipal Commissioner, Police Commissioner, elected representatives, @Shivsenaofc and @Cockroachisback : please come here. Meet the families still living inside. See these conditions for yourselves.
We need an urgent inspection, restoration of water, safe access, lift repairs and an independent inquiry into residents’ complaints.
A family should be able to refuse unacceptable redevelopment terms without fearing that daily life will become unbearable.
This is the reality behind the word “redevelopment” for us.
Photos attached. Videos and supporting records below. Please share so our complaints are finally heard.

My maid trying to enter..when they were not letting her inside.
We went to police station afterwards.
Body guards..to scare us..women criminals have been made to sit in the lobby to scare us. This was when they were not letting our cars inside.
Mumbai residents deserve clean air outside and safety inside their homes. Yet in our Sion society, redevelopment has meant a broken staircase, a non-functioning lift and dead fish dumped on residential floors.
We have raised our concerns, including with the police, but are still waiting for meaningful action. We feel pressured to leave through conditions no family should have to endure.
Who is responsible for these conditions? Where is the accountability for the developer?
@mybmc @MumbaiPolice: Please inspect our building, ensure safe access and investigate our complaints. Residents should not have to go viral to be heard.
@PrasadLadInd
Mumbai, a city surrounded by the sea on 3 sides and lush green mountains on the 4th.
It took Heroic efforts & gigantic corruption by CM and his people working at @mybmc to make its air unbreathable.
Bharat Ratna worthy stuff.

SHOCKING SCANDAL: Why is @gautam_adani GRABBING 600 acres of PRISTINE Bhimashankar forest in the Western Ghats for a pharma plant?! Who authorized @Dev_Fadnavis to SELL OUT land that belongs to ALL of us?! And STOP blaming climate change for Maharashtra’s drought! #SpeakUpNowToSaveForests

Mumbai Pollution: This is not a crisis. This is an emergency situation. In the garb of “infrastructure development” - we have let things go out of control.

Seeing a lot of growing raw hatred against India, Indians, Hindus, Indian-Americans, etc. for no reason.
Would be happy to have anyone who feels that hatred quietly unfollow me. Simple. Clean. Thanks in advance.

There is going to be a healthcare and healthtech revolution in India very soon. In fact, the Indian healthcare ecosystem is extremely ripe for disruption at this point of time. Most incumbents are absolutely unaware of how it's going to happen and what's happening.
Yes. VCs definitely have an idea because they are looking at the entire cohort of startups who are pitching to them, and they have a fair sense of where the field is moving.
It's going to happen slowly to begin with, and then all at once. I'm not sure who will win in the end, but I do hope that it's the common people.

It was Modi who agreed to reduce tariffs on American goods to zero.
It was Modi who committed to buying $500 billion worth of American goods.
It was Modi who had agreed to stop buying Russian oil because Trump asked him to.
But according to some it’s the opposition and CJP who are being controlled by foreign powers.🤦🏻♂️

Hello @BlueDart_ @BlueDartCares why don’t you folks shut shop! Your concept of couriering is that the customer must wait for Armageddon and then hopefully reach your damn outlet and then collect the consignment: absolute shame
