Regardless of your politics. This is one of the best political ads I’ve seen in Canada. Smart, short, clear call to action.
Be part of the change. Vote Conservative. Let’s do this BC.

One Delta is the only party who can beat George Harvie. I'm laying out an ambitious and realistic plan that focuses on getting the basics right, keeping life affordable, and planning for the future. If you want change in the mayor’s chair, the choice is clear: vote for Dylan Kruger and One Delta. Vote in advance on October 3rd, 6th or 7th, or on Election Day, October 17th. It’s time to put politics aside and unite Delta for better health care.  I have written to all provincial party leaders, demanding immediate action and clear commitments on two vital projects for our city: 1️⃣ Restarting the Beedie Long-Term Care Centre. 2️⃣ Building an urgent care centre for North Delta. I'm calling on Provincial leaders and all local MLA candidates to stand with me and support this crucial push for accountability. Delta can't afford to let its health care needs get left behind. To the emergency pod!
In next 48 hours, the not-NDP Party could put itself in a position to win an election. If they come together - truly come together - it will be the NDP's nightmare.

The Dept of Homeland Security used MY taxpayer money to post racist AI Slop. 25 years after 9/11 (when a Sikh man was the first killed in retaliation) our own government is fueling the same hate. Sikh Americans like Harmeet Dhillon in the administration should be embarrassed.

Jason, you should have paid closer attention to the Conservative leadership race here in BC. Caroline Elliott may have presented herself differently from Kerry-Lynne Findlay, but all of their divisive targeted messaging to gain the support of “the base” was essentially the same. The divide between them is far more tribal and personal than substantive.
We don’t even have a Board of Trade party. The CPC is not committed to reducing marginal tax rates, corporate or capital gains taxes, reining in Trudeau era entitlement spending, broader entitlement reform, balancing the budget, ending the quota farming cartel, etc. I would take some version of that over the status quo. Much better yet would be an authentically conservative party that would seriously tackle the cultural issues you enumerate. But instead of thoughtfully addressing those issues, post Covid MAGA inflected populism has conservative parties chasing ostrich farm culls, vaccine scepticism, globalist conspiracy theories, etc. We need a new form of conservative fusionism that is focussed on the deeper cultural challenges, without the distraction of weird populist obsessions that do nothing but alienate us from the mainstream electorate (doing so with the volume nob stuck on 11.) I gather you had a candidate who represented that principled, sane conservative vision in the recent CPBC leadership election.

The name Lake Ontario comes from the Wendat word Ontari’io, which, appropriately, means “the lake is beautiful, the lake is big”. The name is more than 400 years old, predating both the Confederation of Canada and the Declaration of Independence of the United States of America. We know that America is changing. Their trading relationships, their foreign policies, their national monuments, their hydronyms. Canadians also know that naming reality means calling it Lake Ontario – then, now and always.

Jean Charest responds to Pierre Poilievre calling counter-tarrifs 'the privilege of appearing tough': "Standing up for the sovereignty of Canada is not a privilege. It is a responsibility of the government of Canada and of each and every one of us. We are not a vassal state."

Looking forward to the Thursday and Friday show…and maybe there will be a Saturday special. 😀
BREAKING: I’m hearing there’s a standoff today between BC Conservative Executive Director (KLF bestie) Elaine Allan and the party board. Board members have lost access to their emails. Internal strife, external departures, or as they say at BCC, Wednesday. #bcpoli #cdnpoli

No serious government releases the confidential text of a negotiation that did not result in an agreement. Why? Because negotiations involve offers, counteroffers, conditional concessions and red lines. None of those constitute an agreement or a deal. Publishing them after talks fail would simply reveal your negotiating strategy, your bottom line and your vulnerabilities to the other side. You can demand accountability for why negotiations failed. But you don’t hand the other side your playbook for the next round. It’s called negotiating against yourself.
