I can't be the only person finding the parsing of this sentence quite an adventure.

I went to a Proms concert in the mistaken belief that a box right by the basses would yield a great view, but my seat was in the corner and I had to stand to see anything. I was slightly conscious of a light above my head; broadcast proved me right. Blessed presence indeed!
