Brothers and sisters in Christ. You all see how the midterms turned out. Now more than ever this is the time to stay strong in the Lord. Be bold children of God knowing how much our heavenly father loves us. We fear no man. We only fear the one true God.

THE BURNING BUSH Woman, Behold Thy Son "When Jesus therefore saw his mother, and the disciple standing by, whom he loved, he saith unto his mother, Woman, behold thy son! Then saith he to the disciple, Behold thy mother!" โ€” John 19:26,27 (KJV) John never forgot that day, and we know he did not, for he alone among the writers records it. Dying, with the weight of the world's sin on Him, Jesus looked down and saw His mother and the disciple He loved, and He made a family out of the two He was leaving behind. Woman, behold thy son. Behold thy mother. From that hour, John tells us, that disciple took her unto his own home. She became his to keep, and he became hers, and the cross that took a Son gave a mother and a son to each other. Tradition tells us the story went on from there, that Mary lived out her long years with John, and went with him at last to Ephesus. That city had been turned upside down for Christ, its magic books burned in the streets, its great temple shaken by the name of Jesus, a whole people won to the Son she had borne in a stable. And Mary, who had watched it all from the beginning, from the manger to the silence to the cross, now watched her Son glorified in a place that had never known Him. She had come a long way from Nazareth. Yet it is said she did not wish to go back. For somewhere in the quietness of her heart, watching Jesus lifted up in that far city, she realized she was home. It is a human thing to long for the place we came from, to want to end our days among our own. Mary had found something better. Home was no longer the town of her birth or the city of the kings, but wherever her Son was glorified, and there her heart came to rest. May it be so for us. May we find, in the quietness of our own hearts, that home was never the place we came from, but the place where He is lifted up. Prayer Father, from the cross Your Son made a family out of a grieving mother and a frightened friend, and He did it while He was dying. Wherever I have been homeless in my own heart, please give me that home. Home was never the place. It was always the people He gave me. Amen. THE BURNING BUSH

It was the religious people who gave Jesus the hardest time. The ones who knew the scriptures, prided themselves on their righteousness, and believed they were right with God were often the very ones pushing back against His message. Think about that. The people who appeared to be the closest to God were often the most resistant to the truth. And isn't it interesting how much that still happens today? Sometimes the greatest opposition to the gospel doesn't come from those who openly reject God, but from those who are convinced they already have it all figured out.

Heavenly Father, Thank You for the precious gift of another day, for Your unfailing love, Your mercy, and the promises You have given us through Your Word. Father, You know the concerns weighing on so many hearts today. You see the uncertainty surrounding our nation, the decisions being made, and the challenges that lie ahead. Lord, strengthen our faith when circumstances seem overwhelming. Give us courage to stand for truth, wisdom to discern what is right, and peace that cannot be shaken by the things happening around us. Protect our children, our families, and the freedoms we cherish. Guide those in authority, and raise up people of integrity who will stand for righteousness. Help us remember that prayer is powerful, faith is never wasted, and no circumstance is beyond Your reach. Our hope remains in You, Father. We trust Your promises, rest in Your faithfulness, and look toward tomorrow knowing that You will never forsake Your children. In Jesusโ€™ mighty name, Amen. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

As a follower of Christ Jesus, do not despair. Instead, draw even closer to Him, strengthen your faith, and stand firm in His Word. These things must come to pass. There is no escaping what has been foretold. Those you trusted to protect you and your family have chosen money,

WHAT IF GOD IS GIVING US EXACTLY WHAT WE DESERVE? What happens when a nation celebrates what God condemns? When truth is rejected, righteousness is mocked, and evil is called good? What if God's judgment begins not with catastrophe, but with the leaders a nation receives? Consider the sobering words of Scripture. ISAIAH 5:20 โ€œWoe to those who call evil good and good evilโ€ HOSEA 13:11 โ€œI gave you a king in my anger, and I took him away in my wrath.โ€ ISAIAH 3:4 โ€œAnd I will make boys their princes, and infants shall rule over them.โ€ ISAIAH 3:8 โ€œFor Jerusalem has stumbled, and Judah has fallen, because their speech and their deeds are against the LORD.โ€ God is not indifferent to rebellion. And there is another warning we dare not overlook. GENESIS 12:3 โ€œI will bless those who bless you, and him who dishonors you I will curseโ€ God's covenant promises to Abraham are not political conveniences. Nations and their leaders should take His Word seriously. Recent announcements concerning American assistance to Israel remind us how quickly political relationships can change. But God's covenant promises remain steadfast. AND WHERE ARE THE SHEPHERDS? Before we ask why our leaders have abandoned righteousness, perhaps we should ask whether our pulpits have abandoned truth. When pastors compromise Scripture, accommodate cultural rebellion, avoid difficult doctrines, and refuse to proclaim the whole counsel of God, spiritual deception flourishes. 2 TIMOTHY 4:3โ€“4 โ€” People will reject sound teaching and seek teachers who tell them what they want to hear. JEREMIAH 23:1 โ€” God pronounces judgment on shepherds who destroy and scatter His flock. ACTS 20:27 โ€” Paul declares that he did not shrink from proclaiming the whole counsel of God. A nation suffering from spiritual blindness does not need shepherds who make the darkness more comfortable. It needs men who faithfully proclaim the Word of God. And Scripture warns that the last days will be marked by increasing deception and apostasy. 2 TIMOTHY 3:1โ€“5 โ€” Moral corruption and a form of godliness without its power. 1 TIMOTHY 4:1 โ€” Some will depart from the faith. 2 THESSALONIANS 2:3 โ€” The coming rebellion. MATTHEW 24:12 โ€” Increasing lawlessness and love growing cold. Romans 1:24โ€“28 describes God giving rebellious people over to their own desires. Sometimes judgment comes not because God refuses to give people what they want, but because He allows them to have it. A nation can lose its moral compass long before it loses its freedom. We cannot declare every election an act of divine judgment. But Scripture leaves no doubt that God judges rebellion, holds shepherds accountable, and rules over the kingdoms of men. Our greatest national crisis is not political. It is spiritual. No election can accomplish what only repentance can address. Earthly kingdoms rise and fall. Leaders come and go. Nations rebel. Darkness deepens. BUT THE KING IS COMING! Daniel 2:44 promises a Kingdom that will never be destroyed. Our ultimate hope is not in Washington, political parties, or earthly rulers. Our hope is in Jesus Christ, the returning King of kings! As Adrian Rogers famously said: โ€œIt's getting gloriously dark!โ€
