Canada lit up Niagara Falls blue. France lit up the Eiffel Tower blue. Rome lit up the Colosseum blue. The entire world is celebrating the rebuke of fascism in America!

Only Donald Trump could look at Tuesdays results and say I need to be more fascist.

No, you dork. We don’t want you dead. We just think you’re a completely unserious person and we want you to take a job with Newsmaxxxx or Alex Jones or moderating a Reddit conspiracy forum and leave the legislating to functional adults who don’t tweet 200 times a day.

MAGA are out here crying that "we're losing our country, our culture" after the midterm blowout.
How are we losing our country when the American people voted and their voices were heard?
That culture you're losing is just racism.

Trump’s elevation of Stephen Miller to White House Chief of Staff doubles down on the politics of hatred, lawlessness, and failure that the American people soundly rejected three days ago.
Stephen Miller is the architect of Trump’s immigration policies that plunged quiet American communities into violence. At Miller’s direction, peaceful, law-abiding people have been seized from their families and imprisoned or deported for minor civil offenses, and American citizens who protested these actions have been beaten up and even killed by masked paramilitary thugs.
Miller is also the "brains" behind the illegal, extrajudicial murders of people in the Caribbean and the Pacific, many of whom may have done nothing wrong. He frequently promised in 2024 that Trump would focus on the economy and avoid new wars, and then became an ardent defender of Trump’s foolish, unpopular attacks on Iran and other countries.
Stephen Miller embodies the worst elements of the Trump presidency. His promotion shows that Trump has learned nothing from his electoral debacle and has no intention of even trying to work constructively with the next Congress.
Trump and his Republican allies who continue to embrace the politics of hate, division, and chaos are wildly out of step with what the American people want. They will keep suffering more defeats until they listen.

Funny how we’re not hearing about all those thousands of undocumented immigrants supposedly voting in this blue wave election.
Where did they all go?
Could it be that the whole thing was just made up from the beginning? 🤔

You let a demented old man run wild. He imposed tariffs, insulted allies, threatened Greenland, started a war with Iran, blew up boats at will, terrorized US cities, gutted healthcare, and pursued endless vanity projects while you clapped like seals. Now you’re all unemployed spineless cowards.

FOX is saying “Republicans FORGOT to pay attention to the cries of the people.” They did NOT “forget.” They CHOSE to ignore us. They LET our children die in schools. They HELPED Trump PROTECT PEDOPHILES! They SUPPORTED Tariffs when they could SEE farmers were suffering! THEY KNEW there is climate change ~ it was ALWAYS a lie!!! Never let them make lemonade out of you-know-what they really are. #THEYCHOSEIT

Watching all these Republican attempts to explain why they lost the election is painful, because they cannot come out and say one simple truth. They handed the party to a corrupt, criminal, dictator-loving, economic and strategic idiot--who proceeded to be all of these things.

I have been saying since late 2015
Donald Trump is the greatest gift to democrats in American history.
About half my “political friends” from 10 years ago still don’t talk to me as a result and that’s fine.
I could see what we say yesterday 10 years ago. The insane narcissism, corruption, retardation and gibberish with no coherent message was obvious even in 2016. It took 10 years for the complete fruition to happen.
A generational GOP bloodbath which will take multiple cycles to reverse and that’s a maybe.
NO democrat with a D after their name could ever make this happen. There would be an automatic pushback from conservatives. The cult around Trump NEVER held him accountable and still doesn’t. This allowed Trump to move the GOP to the left and now manage to alienate almost all of America. Obama could never do this. Not even close.
He has alienated the free world and every demographic in America except Fox News watching boomers. All of suburban America is lost for now. Used to be the bread basket for the GOP.
Trump has now effectively destroyed the Republican Party as a political force for many many years.
Donald Trump - the greatest gift to democrats in American history.

Republicans will spend time and treasure, likely years and millions of dollars, for consultants and experts and pundits to find out what went wrong and how this happened. Save your money and don’t waste your time. The answer came 10 years ago by a Senator from South Carolina who didn’t live to see his prophetic words come to pass. “If we nominate Donald Trump we will get destroyed…and we will deserve it.” Republicans blew up their party, their values, their dignity and decency for a man who wasn’t even a Republican. Unilateral tariffs on our allies by executive orders isn’t conservative. Siding with Vladimir Putin’s murderous war in Ukraine isn’t conservative. Accepting a bribe from a foreign country in the form of an airplane that costs hundreds of millions of dollars isn’t conservative. Turning untrained thugs in masks loose in our communities to murder American citizens in cold blood isn’t conservative. Threatening to invade and conquer a sovereign country, an ally, isn’t conservative. Pardoning people who assaulted law enforcement officers isn’t conservative. The list is too long and too exhausting to contemplate. Republican law makers lit themselves on fire for a thrice married, sociopathic, mentally unstable reality tv personality who bragged about acing a test to check for dementia and spoke about the asses of male candidates for the US Senate. There was a time when I believed we should welcome any of them who finally spoke up back into polite society. But that ship has sailed. These people should live in shame for the rest of their days, shunned and repudiated in history books, never to hold a position that requires the public trust ever again.

Donald Trump is a malignant narcissist. He is a defective person. He has deep insecurities and even deeper cravings. He disguises both with bluster and bravado. He has a lifetime of secrets and lies - about inheritance, grades, health, wealth, acumen - and he used them to build false constructs.
The Apprentice was big for him; it allowed him to act out his idealized self. And - it identified something he was actually good at - being a reality TV show host.
His disorders include narcissism, sociopathy, paranoia, and sadism. He doesn't process anything strategically. He is transactional. He doesn't think. He feels. It's in the form of impulses and cravings.
Grandiosity is his greatest CRAVING. Humiliation is his greatest fear. Protecting his secrets and lies is paramount.
A certain number of his supporters have malignant normality - they see a distorted reality through his behaviorally disorders. That's the cult, and they constituted his POWER.
His enablers - GOP officials and RW media - rely on him for power and profit. If he falters, they falter - and if he falters bigtime, they evaporate. They serve as his CRUTCH.
Again - his grandiosity is his craving, his base of supporters is his power, and his enablers are his crutch.
What happened in the election was the result in Trump 2.0 being different than Trump 1.0. The difference was borne from his narcissistic come-uppances. In the civil defamation suits, he was narcissistically battered (exposed as a predator and $90M judgment); and in the Trump Org civil suit, he was narcissistically pulverized (exposed as a fraudster and $350M judgment he struggled mightily to post bond for and couldn't until it was reduced). In the Manhattan criminal case, he was narcissistically traumatized - true humiliation, because it branded him a criminal. Plus, the process was brutal for him - he had to physically be there, observe rules, watch nobody show up to court for much of his defense, watch old friends like Pecker and Hicks speak truth against his narrative, AND he presented no defense because he's impotent as a witness, and - after all that - he lost - to a jury - unanimously, beyond a reasonable doubt, on all charges, after a very short deliberation. He had to see ALL this in person up close, and this is a guy who always controls his environ.
He faced many other charges and ran for office again to stay out of jail. When he won, he was going to be vengeful to the max. It was in the cards.
BUT - who would he be vengeful TO? His pathology does not let him see past himself. So - he hates Democrats, Republicans, Independents, giraffes, bunny rabbits, and he CANNOT feel or process empathy, shame, or contrition.
You honestly couldn't give power to a worse person.
He got old and ill and is now owned by his aberrant pathology. And the GOP was weak. And the cult was addicted to dopamine from owning libs thanks to Fox.
His mantra became "I can do whatever I want." And he did. And he overreached. Economically. Humanistically. Globally.
Yesterday, that overreach took him down. Enough truth filtered through the echo chambers. The frustration and negativity became too much for too many. His profiteering and his insensitivity about it, so abnormal, was beyond the pale.
Why am I posting all of this? I am doing it because we suffered so much because we were so collectively oblivious, quick to normalize, and we underestimated everything - including the power of grift.
If left to his own devices, he would have rewritten history. Where would we be then?
Yesterday's result is cause for celebration. But it's paramount that we see HIM - not for who he is, but for WHAT he is. It's paramount we understand him and how we got here and how we never let it happen again.
I see very little introspection occurring. Everything is analyzed in simplistic terms. As always, there is noise - false narratives and other nonsensicalities - obfuscating the full truth.
I made this post - in a noise-free zone - to push the narrative that I think matters most, that I hope we get around to discussing soon. Or eventually. History does not HAVE to repeat itself. Rip the Band-Aid off this guy.
Thanks for reading.

I read JD Vance's post on this site yesterday and at first I was shocked. The Vice President all but admitted that his own administration made a mistake going to war with Iran. I can't think of a sitting VP breaking with his President this publicly in my lifetime.
And at first glance his analysis seems spot on. His first prescription is to end the war. A war that he and the President, until this week, refused to even call a war.
It's hard to disagree with him. But like everything MAGA, the thread of truth is there to hide the larger truth. And the larger truth is this.
Tuesday was the greatest repudiation of a sitting President by voters in the history of this country.
Not a repudiation of a policy. A repudiation of a man.
The message was not only about Iran or Israel or slogans or even the price at the pump. The message was simple.
WE ARE DONE WITH DONALD TRUMP.
We are done with his lies. We are done with the corruption and the gaslighting. We are done with the insanity. We are done with the cruelty.
The message from Mississippi to Iowa, from Kansas to Maine, from North Carolina to Texas, young and old, North and South, East and West, was the same.
Fuck Donald Trump.
This country desperately needs a healthy Republican Party. A party with room for Mitt Romney and Thomas Massie, for Chris Christie and (I can't believe I'm saying this) Marjorie Taylor Greene. A party that puts this constitutional republic above the interests of one man. A party that knows the difference between a Ken Paxton and a John Cornyn, between a Vivek Ramaswamy and a Mike DeWine.
That is the message voters sent on Tuesday, with more ballots cast than in any midterm in American history.
WE ARE DONE WITH DONALD TRUMP.
The sooner the brave members of whatever remains of the Republican Party understand that, the sooner we can begin to heal.
I hope Democrats in Congress heard it too. Voters sent the same message in 2020, and we failed to make it stick. I for one don't think this country can afford 26 more months of this madness before we do the one thing voters just demanded in historic numbers.
Trump needs to leave, and he needs to leave now.
All it would take this January is eleven Republican senators willing to acknowledge the existential threat this lawless President poses to the country and the world. Eleven brave Republicans need to stand up and end this madness. Save their party. Save the country.
It's up to all of us to give them the courage to do what's right.
