The @nba is on some bullshit you aspect me to believe a guy that has averaged 3.1 fouls per game for his whole career is suddenly averaging 4.2 fouls per game while only playing 25 fucking minutes like that’s crazy @TrueHoop my third eye is open there’s no fucking way…

The NBA should form a oversight committee with a rep from each franchise where they review reffing decisions. The inconsistency in reffing is a shared complaint amongst every team and a committe would be a neutral arbiter who could hold refs accountable.
Chris Finch on LaMelo Ball getting into foul trouble:
"They're fouling him all over the floor. They got their hands on him, they're bumping him, they're holding him, they're riding him off his line. At the other end of the floor he's being whistled for a bunch of touch fouls. The way that they allow people to just put their hands on him over the full court, I thought we got rid of that stuff in the 80s, but apparently not"

i love the effort from LaMelo diving all over the floor and hustling even tho he’s been in foul trouble and struggled to find a rhythm tonight. that’s the type of mentality we were missing from he who shall not be named last season

I still can’t believe the nonsense that is being called again Lamelo.
He’s been clowned for years for lacking defensive intensity
Then he’s playing engaged defense, and now he’s getting some very weak calls
I’m in awe

One thing that has been good so far for Melo this season is his interviews, way more insight and communication then he’s ever had in Charlotte

Like any true showman, LaMelo Ball made a captive audience wait.
Then he delivered his first Minnesota moment.

Great LaMelo sequence here.
Gets done on the flex screen, Ayo calls the switch and he recovers, gets over the pindown, rearview contests and then picks off the pass and starts the break for the lob.
