KOGI STATE: HISTORY, GOVERNANCE AND THE CHALLENGE OF BUILDING A NEW NIGERIA
After participating in the inauguration of the Presidential Campaign Council of our party, the NDC, yesterday, I travelled to Kogi State today, 27th October 2026, as part of my ongoing series of town hall meetings across the country. In Lokoja, I paid a courtesy visit to the Maigari of Lokoja, His Royal Highness Dr. Alhaji Ibrahim Gambo Kabir Maikarfi IV.
I sincerely thank His Royal Highness for receiving us at such short notice. I informed him of our town hall meeting in Lokoja, after which he graciously took time to share with us some of the history of the city.
He told us about the historic Holy Trinity Primary School, which was established in 1865 by the Most Reverend Bishop Samuel Ajayi Crowther and missionaries of the Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion. It is regarded as the oldest primary school in Northern Nigeria. He also told us about the historic 'Iron of Liberty' monument.
Visiting these historic sites was both enlightening and sobering. The Holy Trinity Primary School reminded me that, 161 years after its establishment, Nigeria still has the highest number of out-of-school children in the world. It is concerning that we have not done enough to preserve these legacies or build on the foundations laid by those who came before us.
At the 'Iron of Liberty,' I was reminded of the historic collaboration between missionaries and the authorities in the struggle to end the slave trade in Nigeria.
My visits to these sites reinforce my comments yesterday about spending all my holidays as President in Nigeria. They also highlight the abundant tourism potential of Kogi State and Nigeria as a whole.
From these historic sites, I proceeded to our town hall meeting, organised by our party and candidates, where we had a lengthy and engaging conversation about the contemporary challenges facing our country.
During the interaction, we discussed several issues affecting our nation, including corruption, agriculture, tourism in Kogi State, the moribund Ajaokuta Steel Company and other important matters.
My response was to reiterate our position that endemic, entrenched and institutional corruption remains at the core of many of the challenges confronting Nigeria today and must be decisively addressed.
I reiterated my commitment to uniting and securing our country around a common purpose: investing in health and education, strengthening our productive capacity and pulling our people out of pervasive poverty.
I concluded my visit by consoling a business owner whose complex was recently gutted by fire. I also visited traders at Kpata Market, where I interacted with them and received first-hand information about the prevailing economic situation, including the rising cost of goods. The traders complained of low patronage due to reduced disposable income among consumers.
I thank the large crowd that attended the event for their warm reception and the fruitful interaction we had.
My sincere gratitude goes to the organisers of our town hall meeting in Lokoja, our candidates, and all our party members and participants.
A New Nigeria is Possible, and Nigeria will be OK. -PO

Buhari, Akeredolu, Ifeanyi Ubah, Dokpesi. All dead, yet INEC’s portal says “Voter Information Found!”
How many more million dead people are on this register? Who is INEC preparing to vote?
Replying to @SuleDeco @inecnigeria
In udomi, Esan Central LG where the governor of Edo State @m_akpakomiza hails from, in the register we also have AI images.
@inecnigeria we demand explanations

Can INEC address why the online preliminary register of voters is restricted as of today, just a day after announcing it? Those who accessed the link yesterday noticed AI images with voter details.
What is Amupitan and INEC hiding??

There’s life in the desert; that’s hard.
But there’s life outside of the desert, like now; that’s smooth.
Location: Alliance Française de Lagos, 9 Osborne Rd, Ikoyi, where my photography exhibition, ‘Desserts from the Desert’, is on until tomorrow night.
A vote for Peter Obi is a vote for progress, development, and a better future for your children. It is about building a Nigeria where quality education is accessible, hospitals work, businesses thrive, jobs are available, and every child has a fair chance to succeed.

So the APC administration is trying to prevent the incoming Peter Obi administration from reviewing and changing anti-People policies and reforms they have passed into law…especially the tax laws and subsidies.
Peter Obi will change all that with a stroke of a pen.

Multiple pieces of evidence are now circulating online that INEC is duplicating real voters’ records, with identical details and NINs but the sex changed to the opposite gender. INEC Wants to set Nigeria on fire but the people will come with fuel.
More Ai generated images have been found on the @inecnigeria server...
@ARISEtv @ruffydfire @OjyOkpe @channelstv @CNN @SkyNews
When INEC first announced it would start using AI, most people brushed it off as nonsense. Take a hard look at these images though the signs of AI generation are hard to miss.
We should get ready for serious pushback this time. @inecnigeria is the one forcing the issue. They’ve already picked their side, and it’s not with ordinary citizens. INEC isn’t likely to act fairly until it actually feels the weight of public pressure.
INEC WANTS TO SET THIS COUNTRY ON FIRE..
NIGERIANS TAG @inecnigeria TO EXPLAIN THIS ABOMINATION..
WE HAVE TO MAKE A LOT OF NOISE ABOUT THIS TERRIBLE ABOMINATION..

Who is the Head of IT at @inecnigeria?
That person needs to explain how come the belatedly released Voters Register is polluted with so many cloned records,
We are seeing records with the same faces, duplicated over and over again, repeated voter numbers on different records, etc.
This is CLEARLY fraud, and is completely unacceptable.
The IT Director of INEC has questions to answer, either peacefully or otherwise.
Nigerians are done with blatant fraud being thrown in our faces.
The 2027 election is actually our real fight for independence and sovereignty, and no matter what the modern day House Niggas do to keep us shackled, we will prevail, by every available means.

BREAKING: INEC CAUGHT USING ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE BOTS(AI BOTS) IMAGES AS VOTERS IN VOTER REGISTER
Wonders shall never end. INEC has followed in the footsteps of the APC by generating fake voters with AI.
This is why they refused to release the voters' register until we called them out.
This is exactly why Tinubu is not planning to campaign across the country, because INEC has already created Fake votes for him.
Nigerians, WAKE UP, these outdated criminals have been EXPOSED; don't stay silent!

Tinubu knows ballot box rigging may not fly in 2027, so he is trying to rig the system itself. The bigger problem? When the matter gets to court, the same institutions Nigerians expect to deliver justice may end up legitimising the nonsense.
But Tinubu must understand one thing: you cannot manufacture the people's mandate.
The majority of Nigerians must speak with one voice in 2027 and make it crystal clear: WE DO NOT WANT TINUBU!
Dear @inecnigeria can you explain why you have AI Generated images on the INEC Register in polling units in Ward 11, Etsako West LG, Edo State.
We want explanation.
Who infused AI generated images in the register?
who did the capturing?
Who collected their pvcs if they have been collected?
We want answers!!!!!

Dear Nigerians, it is obvious 97% of us do not want this government back in 2027, the government in power know this and this is why they will not try to win by vote casting, there are already AI generated voters on the Inec server, Inec chairman is an APC supporter, what is the plan???
I kid you not when i say their game plan is not by votes, this electoral process should start by calling on the Inec chairman to step down asap, Inec is highly compromised. They will repeat 2023 and you will move on again like you did before….. Buenos dias
Replying to @sweetsixtien @inecnigeria
INEC hasn't released voters register, they have been caught using Ai to produce fake voters in Edo State and all that wasn't discussed yesterday.
Opposition must start screaming from the roof top via international media...a stitch in time saves nine.

This polling unit had 855 registered voters in 2023. It has since added 132 voters, an unusually high increase for a single polling unit.
