17 years, 4 cars, 1,026,976 km, all mine and all real numbers, not brochure values. The two Peugeot diesels burned 35,280 litres over 659,000 km, that is almost 30 tonnes of fuel, and at today's โฌ2.392/l in Bavaria it would cost โฌ84,389. The same 659,000 km in my 2019 Model 3 would cost about โฌ42,000 charged at home, losses included. A short thread for everybody who still thinks EVs are "too expensive" to run ๐งต
Most of the working satellites in orbit now belong to one company, while Europe's answer, IRISยฒ, stays mostly on paper until the end of the decade.
Elon Musk reposted a post highlighting the massive scale of SpaceXโs Starlink satellite network.
As of October 31, 2026, according to third-party data compiled using CelesTrak, there were 16,848 active satellites orbiting Earth, of which 11,184 were Starlink satellites, representing approximately 66.4% of the total.
That means roughly 2 out of every 3 active satellites in Earth orbit belong to Starlink.
SpaceX has already established an enormous infrastructure advantage in the global satellite internet market and continues to expand the Starlink network.

Full HUGE* If True episode on Neuralink and the future of brain computer interfaces
I toured @neuralink and got a close up view of their new R1 surgical robot, to see the future they and @elonmusk are building and how it is already changing lives...
00:00 What if you put a chip in your brain?
01:02 What does a human brain feel like?
02:17 How does your brain work?
03:58 Can a brain computer interface read your thoughts?
05:19 How do you get a chip into your brain?
08:07 Whatโs inside Neuralinkโs implant?
10:06 How do you build a brain implant?
11:07 How does robot do brain surgery?
12:20 What could you do with a brain chip?
15:05 How are brain computer interfaces already being used today?
16:07 How are brain chips huge if true?
Cleo Abram toured Neuralink and the R1 surgical robot, and the funny part is how "boring" brain surgery starts to look ๐ A robot does the fine threading, the team watches, and sci fi becomes routine. Meanwhile Europe still debates if a car may steer while the driver watches.

Moon mass drivers launching compute into deep space is the kind of idea that gets laughed at for ten years and then shows up on a launch manifest. I'd still like to see ESA bid for at least one seat on that ride ๐
Replying to @spencerpratt
Launching super intelligence satellites into deep space with a mass driver on the Moon can achieve >>petawatt/year capability, which would far exceed the best case value of Earthโs economy

BREAKING NEWS! ๐ณ๐ด๐ช๐บ Norway's road authority confirms most EU approval authorities were simply "not ready" to vote on Tesla Assisted Driving in October.
Tesla already dropped its exemption request on maximum lateral acceleration, renamed the system and toned down the marketing, and is still expected to tighten speed limit adaptation. Meanwhile a December vote is not even decided and the wording of the decision is still open ๐

Grรผnheide, the town whose residents voted against the factory expansion, is now officially one of the richest in Brandenburg thanks to Tesla's trade tax. New primary school built, "rich town tax" paid to poorer neighbours, and still waiting for the "disaster" we were promised.

SpaceX has now crossed 700 Falcon 9 launches
700 missions flown by a single rocket family, at a scale and pace that have completely transformed modern spaceflight
Starlink 15-16 marked the 700th mission on October 27, with Starlink 15-18 following as the 701st on October 31
Since its first flight in 2010, Falcon 9 has revolutionized space transportation through reusable rocket technology
What once took years now happens every few days
SpaceX has turned launching and landing rockets into routine spaceflight
And that's an absolutely extraordinary engineering achievement

BREAKING NEWS! ๐ฎ๐น Italy now publicly backs a swift EU approval of Tesla Assisted Driving (FSD Supervised).
Matteo Salvini, Italy's Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, posted it this morning after a call with Elon Musk. This matters for the December committee vote: a yes needs 65% of the EU population, and that line is out of reach without Italy or Spain. Italy alone brings about 13% of it to the table.
To keep both feet on the ground: this is political support, not a national recognition of the Dutch RDW approval, and Italy's own decision on Tesla's file is still pending. No December TCMV agenda is published yet either.

Very positive and constructive conversation with @elonmusk today.
Italy is looking with great interest at the opportunities offered by assisted driving technologies, with a focus on innovation and road safety, and supports a swift EU approval of Tesla Assisted Driving.
Thanks for the exchange, Elon!
Germany, France, Italy, Spain and Poland still have not approved Tesla Assisted Driving, and together they are about 65% of the EU population, so the "safe" choice is simply to wait. Ten countries already said yes, there is still no December agenda, and Germany's big contribution is a 10% speed cap and a polite "after you" to Brussels. Not one impact assessment asks how many crashes a supervised system could have prevented while the file sat on a desk. Being "careful" has a price too, it just never gets written down.
