His wife only cried for two days and asked him: "What are you going to do?"
Steve Harvey reveals he woke up owing the IRS $22,000,000 because his accountants spent SEVEN YEARS pocketing his tax checks and never filing a single return. The government told him he had to pay $650,000 a month, every month, for 4 years. Miss ONE payment, and you go to JAIL. He never would've known if his accountant hadn’t died. A woman cleaning out the office called his lawyer with a serious problem. STEVE HARVEY: “She had found on the floor all my tax forms for seven years signed and with the checks stapled to it.” “Well, they were cashing the checks, keeping the money and not turning in the tax forms.” Seven years of bank statements that looked like a man paying his taxes. “My lawyer called me, said, ‘Hey, man, we got a problem. You haven’t paid taxes in seven years.’” “He said, ‘Man, that’s tax evasion. You can go to prison.’” “I ended up owing 22 million. 22 million with the penalties.” When he told his wife, Marjorie, she cried for two straight days. “She says, ‘What you going to do?’ I said, ‘I’m going to go to work.’” And he did. “I took every comedy gig in this country, signed every contract. I went to work, man. I worked every single Friday, Saturday and Sunday.” “I never missed a payment.” He did that for four years. $650,000 a month, every month. In 2012, he sold 49% of his radio company and used the check to pay the government off to zero. “And that was the first time, man, I could breathe.” The thieves were his accountants. The $22,000,000 bill went to Steve Harvey. And the only one who got threatened with prison was the man who got robbed.

Nigerians Will Pay Fuel Tax When The Economy Becomes Stable — Minister of Finance, Taiwo Oyedele Nigeria’s Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Taiwo Oyedele, has said the Federal Government will introduce fuel taxes when the economy stabilises and citizens’ incomes can accommodate the extra costs. He disclosed this in an interview with ARISE News on the sidelines of the 2026 IMF and World Bank Annual Meetings in Bangkok, Thailand, explaining that the government would first consolidate its economic reforms, restore growth and improve household earnings. Oyedele said imposing additional levies immediately after petrol subsidy removal would have worsened Nigerians’ hardship. “You remove subsidy, you can’t immediately impose taxes. That would be insensitive. You push the people to the wall,” he said. The minister noted that fuel taxes account for between 20 and 80 per cent of petroleum prices in some countries, while several African nations impose multiple levies on fuel products. He said the proposed revenue would support infrastructure and help the country prepare for future disruptions in fuel supply. “Not because we want to impose taxes, it will be because those amounts of taxes will be dedicated into road infrastructure, they’ll be dedicated into building our fuel reserve, that can help us moderate prices of fuel products, if anything happens,” he explained. According to Oyedele, the arrangement could also allow the government to suspend the levies temporarily when necessary to cushion the effects of market shocks. “This is what more than 50 countries around the world, they were reducing the taxes, but we had no taxes, there was nothing to reduce,” he added. “There has to be an order published in the gazette by the finance minister, which means we can’t do it in secret,” he said. Oyedele maintained that the taxes would only be introduced when economic conditions improved sufficiently and Nigerians could understand the reasons for the policy and its expected benefits.

Tinubu knows deep down that he has nothing to offer NIGERIANS. Nigerians know that @officialABAT has nothing to offer them. He just wants to complete the eight years he believes he is entitled to. His son knows it. His wife knows it. APC knows it. The Senate knows it. And you reading this, you know it too. Everybody supporting Tinubu is either doing it based on tribe, financial gains, or shelter from the EFCC. The election is around the corner, Tinubu & APC have nothing to campaign with... So they are relying on Wike and the Governors to help him win by any means necessary... 🩸🩸🩸. That is why you see them going around threatening Nigerians... Because that is the best they can do. To torment, suppress, and oppress. Look at the set of POLITICAL BANDITS we have now, The ministerial Ebonyi buffalo, the barking Obio-Akpor H!tler who now carries himself as the real @inecnigeria chairman, The dullard in Edo who doesn't even know how to spell his name, the moron in Benue who scammed his people with religion, the demented occupant in Anambra, etc. They all now move around with 50-50 shoulder pads, you dare not question them... It's all personal interest. None of them is there for you or for a better Nigeria. @officialABAT and APC introduced a demonic kind of Politics in Nigeria. Nigerians, 2027 is not about voting and going home... It is about dining with your vote and protecting your vote. By every means possible, do your part... Because the set of Political bandits and kreeminals we have now will watch you die of hardship and dance on your grave like the Osun State Michael Jackson who played his people. 2027 is very vital for you... You still have time to prepare yourself.

The Negreira case is Barcelona paying referees' boss. *What it is:* - Between 2001 and 2018, FC Barcelona paid *€7.3 million* to companies owned by *José María Enríquez Negreira*, who was Vice-President of Spain's Refereeing Committee (CTA), and to his son Javier. - Payments were discovered in 2023 after tax investigation. - Barcelona says it was for "technical reports on referees and young players" - like scouting reports. Prosecution says it was to get favourable decisions = sporting corruption. - Bribery charge was dismissed by court in 2024 because Negreira was not a public official, but the *sporting corruption* investigation continues. *Where it is now (Oct 2026):* 1. *Main investigation nearing end* - Judge rejected Real Madrid's request to extend it 6 more months (Sept 1). Last witnesses (former Barca B coach Gerard Lopez) to testify in November 2026. Investigation expected to close end of 2026, trial + verdict expected *end of 2027*. 2. *Tebas statement* - In Feb 2026 La Liga President Javier Tebas said "it is clear that Barcelona did not pay referees to influence matches" - no evidence of direct bribery, but payments were "unacceptable from a sporting perspective". 3. *New courtroom fight: Barca vs Florentino Perez* - This is the hot part now. - On May 12 2026 press conference Perez called it "the most serious case of corruption in football" and said: "I've won 7 leagues, I could have won twice as many. The others were stolen from me" / "Negreira Boys". - Barca filed a conciliation claim June 12, demanding retraction, calling it defamation. They want Perez to name which referees were paid and which games were fixed, or admit he made it up. - *Conciliation hearing set for Nov 25, 2026 at 9:40am in Madrid*. If Perez doesn't show or doesn't retract, Barca says they will file criminal complaint for calumny/slander. 8ab1ad561396 So right now it's two tracks: criminal investigation against Barca finishing, and civil/criminal defamation case Barca launching against Real Madrid's president for what he said about it.
🚨𝗕𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚: UEFA has officially REACTIVATED the disciplinary case against Barcelona over the ‘NEGREIRA’ case after receiving a dossier of 𝟱𝟬,𝟬𝟬𝟬 pages and thousands of documents from Real Madrid. ⚖️🇪🇸 The documentation includes evidence and statements submitted by Real Madrid. 📄⚪ UEFA will now examine the case and its potential sporting consequences. 😬 📰 @diarioas
