I enjoyed reading this. So inspiring and insightful. Congratulations!
It’s been a month into my PhD program @westernsydneyu
Incredibly grateful to God for the journey and moments that brought me here.
I also penned a little of that journey into words - If you’d like to read the story: torotayo.substack.com/p/what…

On the morning of this PhD interview (6 am), she woke up to another scholarship rejection @ 2 am. For a project where she already had a supervisor ready to take her.
4 hours later, she logged on anyway & gave it her all. That interview is how she got here. So proud of you ❤️

Made a tool called polish; it's a self-hosted design review for UI code.
Built it because I wanted a better way for designers and engineers to review UI code with the same care they already bring to design critique and code review.
It audits real UI code for usability, design craft, and accessibility, using your own API key with no bots in your repo, subscription, or quotas.
This started as something I needed for myself, but I think it’s genuinely useful for teams too.
Live at polish.tomiabe.com. GitHub is linked there too.

Nobody really talks about the weight of waiting on God. Some days you’re steady, other days you’re in tears, counting the days and asking God when? Yet somehow, in the waiting, He is shaping you, holding you, and preparing something beautiful for you. Keep holding on💛

The WC final has been underwhelming mainly because Argentina frauded their way to the Final and cracked under the first real pressure by a team that had a harder path to the final and deserved every single win along the way.
